Ella Eyre will be ineligible due to 'Waiting All Night'.

Joel Compass, Luke Sital-Singh, Chlöe Howl. Basically all the new artists R1 has supported recently who haven't broken through yet. Hoping Sampha will be on there but he might have been around for too long (and I'm not sure if he's actually doing anything major next year anyway).

I forsee lots of grumbling in this forum about chloe howl. chart boffs don't tend to like the talky, bolshy pop females :(

I would love for Kids of the Apocalypse to somehow be there, but I think they're a bit too under-the-radar atm (and even if they were on the long list they'd NEVER win!)

I'm a bit out of touch with a lot of the upcoming acts this year - BROODS perhaps?

NONONO... perhaps

I wouldn't mind Wolf Alice  they are just waiting to breakout.

This thread always amazes me every year as I've never ever heard of any of them :P But inevitably a few names will end up becoming genuinely huge next year.

This is also around the time when big UK hits of 2014 are already hits across the world, right?

HAERTS please.

Didn't Fryars release their/his first album about 4-5 years ago? Or am I thinking of someone completely different?

Ben Garrett self-released his debut album (via BandCamp) in 2009, think though because it didn't chart he'd still be eligible.

Does anyone have 2013's list and how they performed chart-wise for reference?
The 2013 list was AlunaGeorge, A*M*E, Angel Haze, Arlissa, Chvrches, Haim, King Krule, Kodaline, Laura Mvula, Little Green Cars, Palma Violets, Peace, Savages, The Weeknd and Tom Odell. For chart performances, see Bre's other thread.
