Nice blend of voices and for the first time i can actually instantly put names to the voices easily :P

 

I really liked that... it felt a bit short so hopefully the Disclosure remix brings some more to the track (and more funding to a great cause!)

There's going to be a Disclosure remix!? :lol: They put their name to everything now haha (not really complaining~)

Why can none of the follow ups beat compare to the beat of the original?

I absolutely adore the original. Can't wait to hear the new version though. It's one of the Xmas classics imo even though it's a charitable single it's the one I look forward to most each year.

I know they only recorded it yesterday but I didn't think it would actually sound like they only recorded it yesterday.

I didn't mind it! I liked that the chorus was more in keeping with the original version.

Really good version IMO! The new lyrics work perfectly well, great production as expected from Paul Epworth and no one sounded out of place on it. Slightly disappointed at the lack of Fuse though (I assume he was somewhere in the group vocals? He's still listed as part of the line-up on the official website...)

So, if I tune into ITV+1 at 9.37, I can see it without watching any of the rest of the programme :D

He was as were Clean Bandit - saw them in the choir!

Very nice version and great considering it was recorded in a day, I liked how it was true to the original which I found the 2004 one changed a bit too much (though I would've quite liked to see Fuse do the rap verse, looks like he couldn't turn up). The only thing I was disappointed with was the lack of much of an instrumental presence before the chorus, was hoping Clean Bandit/Disclosure/Underworld could work their magic there (though the Disclosure remix should solve that).

That's true, it would make a nice change! Yeah, nothing aside from the cheesy ones (even too cheesy for Christmas, I mean! :P) is coming to mind.

I was nearly right about Ed Sheeran then. He got the second line rather than the first.

I sort of like the production, but expected the drums to kick in mid-way through the first verse, but they never came.
