June 18, 201411 yr Well Spain being eliminated has already made me lose my bet of predicting all the countries to make the last 16. It was looking quite good as well :( At least I can concentrate on supporting all of the underdogs now without thinking about it ruining my bet!
June 18, 201411 yr They still have one entirely USELESS game to play with Australia. :D Great chance for Australia to try and beat the world #1 and move up the world rankings. So not Useless for the Socceroos.
June 18, 201411 yr Great chance for Australia to try and beat the world #1 and move up the world rankings. So not Useless for the Socceroos. I actually think they have a chance there :D Russia won against Greece in Eurocup 10 years ago in group stages and the latter won the whole thing. Just a funny irrelevant fact~ ACTUALLY it IS relevant coz Russia is still shit and not up in the world rankings or whatever :D
June 18, 201411 yr Told you all Spain would be out. Chile look excellent, they all know the system, and they all work hard. Some really exciting players, probably the best team in this half of the draw. I'm considering sticking a few on Mexico. They're 9/1. Chile are 5/1 to beat Spain tomorrow. All over that. The bookies will LOVE you. What was that Lee :D
June 18, 201411 yr I actually think they have a chance there :D Russia won against Greece in Eurocup 10 years ago in group stages and the latter won the whole thing. Just a funny irrelevant fact~ Australia are on a plane back home anyway (although not entirely deserved) so they really have nothing to lose. Not having Cahill will hurt them but they have a chance not to finish last like everyone expected them to and they will seize that with both hands.
June 18, 201411 yr The FIRST team out  (along with poor Australia, but honestly the Socceroos have played way way way better in their two games so I wouldn't be too surprised to see them take a point to Spain).
June 18, 201411 yr http://i.imgur.com/HnFfSvn.png I literally died when I saw this I put some money on Australia winning from Spain, I could possibly get 18x my bet. You better go all in Socceroos!
June 18, 201411 yr I didn't even see them beating Chile after they got thrashed against the Dutch, I love to see Australia going out on a high and give Spain a good spanking. :D
June 18, 201411 yr Australia just need to NOT LOSE to beat Spain in the group, right? Shouldn't be TOO hard given they scored two goals against the Dutch!
June 18, 201411 yr Chile were great but I can't see them not running out of steam at some point. Possible knockout route of Brazil, Colombia/England and Germany before the final if they're runners up or Mexico/Croatia, Italy, Argentina if they beat the Dutch.
June 18, 201411 yr I can't see Chile getting past quarterfinals for some reason I'd say Brazil will be #1 in their group, with Mexico being #2 and The Netherlands being #1 in B. So Chile face Mexico which should be a challenge for them already as Mexico is really good EDIT: (The Dutch got their revenge tho) Edited June 18, 201411 yr by *Tim
June 18, 201411 yr So Spain's defence of the World Cup becomes the worst ever :o How so? Italy finished their group with 2 points in 2010, Spain could yet end with 3.
June 18, 201411 yr Delighted for Chile, love watching them play and was absolutely convinced they;d qualify, just a shame my bet was "Spain and Chile to qualify" It's a massive shame for Spain, especially if they're remembered this way. They've been so good, and I think so good to watch but they have been awful and uninspired here, sad to see really. Australia will be so pleased with how they've performed, a huge encouragement for the future.
June 18, 201411 yr So Spain's defence of the World Cup becomes the worst ever :o If they win a match does it not make it better than France and Italy's?

June 18, 201411 yr It's ironic that the team that outlasted everyone in the last World Cup is the first team to be knocked out of this World Cup.
June 18, 201411 yr FABULOSO *.* over the moon for Chile. kind of a shame to see Spain out already, but they've been undoubtedly poor (despite the admittedly tough draw)
June 18, 201411 yr It's ironic that the team that outlasted everyone in the last World Cup is the first team to be knocked out of this World Cup. Not exactly true as Australia played and lost earlier, even if it wasn't until the end of Chile vs. Spain that they were properly knocked out. But YAY CHILE!!
