AHOY THERE FELLOW BUZZJACKIANS

It's finally time for me to host one of these things. Anyway, welcome to the 15th edition of Unknown Pleasures, everyone's favourite Buzzjack song contest, oh...

Y'all know the score by now, basically you need to scour the interweb (or your music collection if you're particularly OBSCURE). Whence you have found your chosen track, please send it MY WAY (via PM).

Everyone is free to enter, so if you're new to Buzzjack or just new to the contest feel free to send a song if you want to take part. The only real limit is we try and keep it to THIRTY or so participants.

There are of course some SUPER FUN RULES to abide by, but then all the best things in life come with rigorous guidelines! (SEE BELOW)


RULES

01 There is no rule with regard to genre or length.
02 The artist or band of your choice must not have reached the top 40 singles chart in the UK.
03 The artist or band of your choice must not have reached the top 20 albums chart in the UK.

04 The song must not be on the current UK release schedule.
05 To enter the competition you must send myself, Johnkm, a PM detailing the song you wish to enter together with a link to a mp3. Also include a link to the song on (preferably) YouTube, Vimeo, or Soundcloud.
06 The MP3 must be either 256 or 320kbps please. You can of course enter a lower quality one if you wish, however that is likely to result in much ridicule being thrust in your direction and your being driven from the forum, and perhaps Buzzjack itself, in SHAME.
07 You must not choose a song that has been previously entered (LIST HERE).

08 Songs from the same artist will not be allowed to participate in the contest simultaneously. Also, songs by acts who featured in the last contest will not be accepted. If two people choose the same act, the one who submitted their entry first will be allowed to enter the act. Preferably try and enter an act that has never been submitted before, this is unknown pleasures after all.
09 Please don't go blabbing about what your song is, or even drop any ''subtle'' hints. It's silly, it makes you look silly and it takes away from the fun.
10 I reserve the right to refuse an entry, because make no mistake, I WILL rinse this hosting thing for everything it's worth!
11 Last but not least, remember to have fun non mainstream peeps

Yeah, I'm allowing reservations as I know this is a busy time of year for a lot of people.

Oh yay here we go.

 

I'm fully expecting to bomb hard this month but I hope not cos my entry is like super gorgeous and whatnot.

I love the trekkie graphics, John can you reserve a spot for me. I know what I'm going to send but I might change my mind if I have time to dig around.

I'm in. I've got about 3-4 songs that are much too alt for BJSC and I'll try decide which one to pick SOON.

I'm in, as always. I HAD a great song for UP plus a great song for BJSC next month, HOWEVER by the smallest technicality, the former is inelligible for this :( So I'm gonna go with the latter, which is admittedly much more obscure, have no idea how it will do, but I never really do with this. [/cryptic]
