So Sam Bailey has won the X Factor 2013 and releases the winner's single at midnight, which is a cover of Demi Lovato's 'Skyscraper'. What will its opening sales be and how will they compare to James Arthur's 'Impossible' last year? (Someone remind me what its opening week sales were please)

I reckon 300 to 400, her second week sales will be far more interesting to see how far she drops percentage wise.

22 Dec 489,560 James Arthur Impossible

He sold 489,560, I think she'll sell more.

There's a bit in the song that sounds really like Girls Aloud's "Beautiful ‘Cause You Love Me", the "Right now the whole world..." bit.

200-250k. Slightly better than Cannonball

I don't like it. (this is the first time I watch her sing mind you). I am not a fan of this song and I don't see any real potential in this woman. She is a good singer but no significant colour and character in her voice. And of course she lacks the rest alltogether...

Impossible was definitely a billion times better.

In terms of sales I can see her doing 300k.

I seriously can't believe this mess will be No.1.

Went with that too, but it's definitely a pessimistic prediction.

I voted 250-300 she is picking up on itunes and I think alot of her audience will be buying the physical copy more so than with James/Little Mix

Between 250- 300. Early sales aren't looking too good but i'm sure she'll pick up.

Really like Sam, not a great song though

I went for 300k-400k. More than Little Mix but less than James Arthur. I do think she'll have a higher percentage of CD sales than James did.
I think she'll sell ~300k. Her lead on iTunes may not seem impressive but let's not forget about physicals (I'm sure quite a few people will be buying them as stocking fillers)
I went for 200 - 250. I have a feeling it's going to drop a bit in sales towards the end of the week.
It will obviously sell well due to being on the back of the x factor but its yet another dire cover version of a track which was only released earlier this year. Its obviously too much effort for Cowell and Co to record a decent, original hit.
