Pretty perfect timing for the music video, especially if she's performing at the BRITs on Wednesday night!

The vocals in the verses were awful, although we've come to expect dodgy vocals almost 99% of the time she thinks about a major concept for performances like this. The chorus was decent, but that's because she was standing still and wasn't prancing about like an idiot.

How can BBC1 refuse to playlist such a stellar song?

 

Her vocals weren't THAT bad, and after that performance she should be playlisted everywhere!

 

One of her best songs so it should be all over radio like Screech rash, but it's not at all. Radio1 can never say anything about unoriginal songs now after it eschewed Katy for bein inventive and doin someit different.

That wasn't as bad as some performances she's done, but I'm now very much convinced she is incapable of delivering a competent live vocal.

 

Shame, as she's pretty much a perfect popstar in every other way.

 

P.S. I'm not sure Britney can be considered a 'live' performer. :lol:

They have playlisted her, she's on the B-List with 'Dark Horse'.

ANYWAY, as for last night's performance, I thought it was pretty good! Visually fantastic, and I loved the arrangement and how it built up during the 'are you ready for ready for' bits, it felt so emphatic. I thought the vocals were also good, the verses don't take great vocal ability anyway, it's all very low and doesn't require much change in how it's sung, so she was capable of doing it fine. The vocals for the chorus were also good too - so in general, I'd say it all went pretty well as it's an easier song for her to sing.

She just isn't a good dancer.

I agree with that but she didn't really try and do that much dancing so it wasn't too bad on that front. I certainly don't think the performance was bad though and I just think people go in with the idea that she's going to be crap every time but as much as I'm not naive enough to say it was fantastic vocally, I think it she was good on that front.
