How can I see the popularity bars in iTunes 9 & 10?

Use this link: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore...aultSeeAllSongs

Then select 'View' and tick 'popularity', alternatively, in the headings bar (Artist, Album, Time, etc), right click and select 'popularity'

Lack of releases hopefully means Beyonce can go top 40 with 'XO'!

Anything new will struggle against the gift-voucher effect.

Although with Christmas Day being on a Wednesday this year the 'gift card effect' will be somewhat diluted, being split over two chart weeks.

Sub Focus - Turn Back Time

This song might have a large fall on its release week. :(

Interestingly it was released last Friday.

Although with Christmas Day being on a Wednesday this year the 'gift card effect' will be somewhat diluted, being split over two chart weeks.

Perhaps, but it does seem to be very concentrated in the first 2-3 days after Xmas...

AC/DC to keep climbing please!

Not gonna happen - as soon as the Xmas #1 is announced, the campaign dies, whether it succceeded or failed.

Oh my. Just from top 100 AC/DC are on 0.8791 making them second only to pharell, that's shocking. I thought song campaigns died off, not got stronger as the week went on! Madness!
Ha... pretty quiet in here over night, coming for that shortest iTunes thread ever.
It'll soon liven up after the big Xmas day/Boxing day shake up. This week's releases are only of interest to Pavel.
Not expecting much of a boost this year. Last years shake up was fairly minimal if I remember correctly and as already pointed out it will be split over two weeks
Is there an official chart this coming weekend or is it the end of year chart instead?

Last year's gift card effect broke the record for highest singles sales in a week again so not exactly 'minimal' :P I think with the recent trend in singles sales though there probably will be a slightly lesser impact than we've been used to the last few years. But it should still be pretty big.

I wouldn't say it's split over 2 weeks anyway, there'll be 4 days of the effect this week and that'll probably cover most of it. It doesn't really last a full week anyway.

Sorry, what I meant was in terms of shaking up the chart, it was pretty minimal (compared to previous years at least)

Both
