May 26May 26 Technically 'Sirens' was the lead here as the UK release of 'I Wish' didn't happen. It so deserved better, #41 is a real travesty but I think sadly by that point nobody really cared and also she was unlucky to have released it a couple of weeks after streaming was introduced (it was #32 in sales)
May 26May 26 Bearing in mind there are very few I know even in recent decades, this could be my top 10:1 PJ Harvey - Good Fortune (2000)2 Barrington Levy - Here I Come (1985)3 Delfonics - Ready Or Not Here I Come (1971)4 Red Hot Chili Peppers - Breaking The Girl (1992)5 Lana Del Rey - Love (2017)6 Lana Del Rey - A&W (2023)7 Ann Peebles - I Can't Stand The Rain (1974)8 Primal Scream featuring Denise Johnson - Don't Fight It Feel It (1991)9 Prince - I Wanna Be Your Lover (1980)10 Sam Fender - Spit of You (2021)

Sunshine On Leith - The ProclaimersThis is the top 10 I posted on this thread eight years ago. It's interesting that Tempted is Squeeze's most streamed song, well ahead of their two number 2 hit singles.
