They are currently on the South American leg of their epic Where We Are stadium tour and One Direction star, Liam Payne looks like he's having a whale of a time on Friday.

 

The 20-year-old singer was pictured hanging out on the balcony of Hotel Fasano in Brazil, where he is staying with the rest of the band, where he blew kisses and waved to his waiting hoardes of fans.

 

The hunky heart throb looked handsome in a plaid shirt which he had thrown on, doing up only a couple of buttons and letting his tanned chest poke out a little.

 

As he greeted his fans who were waiting outside while hoping to catch a glimpse of the singer, Liam showed off the arrow tattoos which he has had inked on his forearm.

 

The night before, as the band performed at the Parque Olimpics in Rio de Janeiro, The Mirror reports that Harry Styles decided to pull his skinny jeans down while on stage.

 

He flaunted a 'Brasil!' inking on his groin which may or may not have been a permanent one.

 

The band will perform three shows in Brazil before wrapping their South American leg and moving on to Europe with an opening show at Dublin’s Croke Park on May 23.

 

Their current tour is proving to be a huge success and earlier in the week, the band tweeted that their fans could still get tickets to see their London and Manchester shows.

 

They wrote 'UK! Extra tickets for the #WWATour in London (Wembley) and Manchester are on sale this Friday!'

 

On Wednesday, Harry and band mate Liam Payne enjoyed a tango lesson on stage after watching the Rojo Tango dance show with their friend and stylist Lou Teasdale.

Liam Payne is incredibly hot. In fact, we spend most of our day just staring at as many pictures of him we can find.

 

What’s wrong with that? Nothing. Nothing at all.

 

Anyway, Liam’s not just a pretty face and a damn hot body – there’s a lot more to the One Direction singer.

 

Take a look as we put together some interesting facts about the Big Payno…

 

1. One Direction were formed on the 2010 series of The X Factor, after all five of the boys auditioned separately – we all know that. But for Liam, 2010 wasn’t his first experience of the X Factor. He originally auditioned for the show in 2008 at the age of 14! He performed Frank Sinatra classic Fly Me To The Moon to judges Simon, Louis and Cheryl. That year saw him make it through to Judges’ Houses before being eliminated and not making it to the live shows. It wasn’t the end for Liam though, as we’ve all found out.

 

2. Between birth and the age of four, Liam had to have LOADS of tests on his kidneys, due to illness. It left him with only one working kidney, which left Liam making sure he didn’t drink too much of anything, including water! However, in August 2012 Liam tweeted that his second kidney had randomly started working again, meaning he now has two.

 

3. When Liam returned to the X Factor in 2010, he successfully auditioned with song Cry Me A River. He later revealed to The Sun newspaper his reason for choosing the classic as his audition tune. It was because of an ex-girlfriend who had cheated on him. Someone cheated on Liam? WHY WOULD YOU?

 

4. A few years ago, Liam told TOTP: ‘I have the best dance moves – I’m the king of the dancefloor! My signature dance move is the 1-2-3 flick.‘ Well, he eventually proved this in the Best Song Ever video, where he played choreographer Leeroy.

 

5. As with the rest of the band, Liam has been writing more and more music for each album. On each of the first two albums, Liam had co-writing credits for three standard edition tracks. However, on third album Midnight Memories, he upped his game, penning EIGHT tracks on the album, as well as deluxe song Does He Know?.

 

6. It looks like Liam is just generally quite unlucky when it comes to love. As well as getting cheated on (See fact #3), he also asked one crush out a huge 22 times before she said yes. Then she dumped him a day later. Harsh.

 

7. Liam is the third most followed member of the band on Twitter. While number one most followed Harry and runner-up Niall tweet ALL the time, Liam’s always been a bit quiet. However, he could catch them up on followers soon – he’s now started an Instagram account and is posting loads of hot, hot selfies, as well as tweeting a lot more than he used to.

 

8. Liam once revealed that his dream job (aside from ‘globally successful boyband member’) is a firefighter. Despite making it in the music world, Liam’s firefighting dream came a reality in a shocking way in 2013. Close friend Andy Samuels was trying to fill Liam’s patio heater with gas when he completely caught alight, leaving Liam to save him from the flames! Andy came out of it with third degree burns and needed several skin grafts, but he’s fine now thanks to Liam.

 

9. Liam isn’t just a singer in One Direction. The band’s latest single You & I, which comes out later this month, features a very special remix as a bonus track. Yes, Liam didn’t just sing on the tune, he also tried his hand at remixing it. From the preview, it sounds great, and the reworked version of the tune has been appropriately named the Big Payno Remix.

 

10. So, we’ve given you two examples of how unlucky in love Liam is… we’ve got another for you. Liam’s girl problems started at the young age of 7. He told Top Of The Pops magazine in April: ‘When I was seven, a girl I really liked tickled me and I wet myself. Then she laughed, because she was a lot older, but I cried and it was terrible. I actually really fancied her and I’d ruined everything.‘ Very unlucky Liam. Very unlucky.

 

11. One Direction are currently working on their fourth album (in between dates on their HUGE stadium tour obviously) and Liam has so far been the most loose-lipped about the new record. Back in February, he told Capital FM: ‘Honestly, every lad out there tonight who’s thinking One Direction are this and that and whatever else, literally, next album – pick up our album and see what you feel.’ Not just that, but he also recently tweeted: ‘So here it is, for all you people who have been turning us off for the last four years, this next album is about to blow your minds!‘ Yeah… we’re now VERY excited.

 

12. During an interview in Australia last year, Liam revealed an idea for a bit of strange 1D merchandise. Talking about the wide range of really weird stuff the band lend their faces to (including a singing toothbrush), the boys were asked if they’d fancy seeing themselves on toilet roll. While Harry didn’t really like the idea, Liam said: ‘I think there’s a market for that…‘

 

13. It’s something we pretty much already thought – Liam Payne is the hottest member of One Direction right? Correct! Well, it is correct according to an Entertainment Wise 2013 poll. Liam picked up 30.58% of the votes over the rest of the boys, making him the hottest member of the band. A title well deserved.

 

14. Back on last year’s Take Me Home tour, Liam had his pants stolen by a crazy fan, leaving him naked in his hotel room. He said at the time: ‘I was in bed and I heard something bang on the balcony, so I woke up. My door didn’t close properly and she started trying to open the door.’

Most musicians might think an early night is the best preparation for a big gig at Wembley Stadium, but not Liam Payne.

 

The One Direction star spent Thursday evening at London’s Funky Buddha night club and left the venue at 3am.

 

Liam obviously regretted his decision for a late one as the following morning he tweeted ‘bad idea to go out’.

 

But despite his late night, it seems the singer managed to catch some sleep but not an altogether peaceful amount.

 

On Friday afternoon, Liam tweeted: ‘Oh my god I just had the weirdest nightmare ever I was naked in the middle of Wembley :/ scary times’.

 

The band will be playing the famous London venue for the next three nights as part of their Where We Are World tour.

 

But the last week has been a strain for One Direction, after two of its members, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik, were filmed with a suspicious looking roll-up cigarette and making an alleged racist comment.

 

Simon Cowell, who helped launch the band’s career, said this week that One Direction are still ‘amazingly nice boys'’ despite their success and are facing a 'tough' job while on this global tour.

 

Simon reassured fans they haven't 'lost the plot' but he is adamant they can cope with their gruelling schedule.

 

'Obviously it's a private matter for me to deal with,’ the music mogul told BBC Radio 2. ‘But all I can say, from my own experience with the boys, is that I have worked with artists who have a few hits and they can turn into monsters, this lot haven't.

 

‘They really are hard workers, they really like their fans, they're really respectful. They are amazingly nice boys considering how much their lives have changed.'

 

On the subject of their work schedules, Simon said: 'It's very difficult, because when they're in the situation they're in, where literally the whole world wants them to perform, you've got this opportunity in your life, it's very difficult to turn it down. They do get rest periods and they are treated well, but it's a tough job, I'm not going to deny it.’

 

He added: 'Right now we've just got to celebrate the fact that in just three years they're performing at Wembley Stadium, which is mind-blowing.'

 

I have no idea why I suddenly find myself 10 times more attracted to guys when they smoke. I know it's bad and naughty and wrong and stupid but UGH WANT NOW.

Ugh. Smoking is vile.
