Not sure what's going to do well this year. Like last year it was obvious that Titanium and Spectrum would be high up since people here were completely bumming those songs the entire year, but there wasn't anything on that level this year (that got to #1 anyway). I guess I Love It is the closest, but still some people don't like it, so I'm not sure. I also think Get Lucky and Counting Stars will do well, since they seem almost unanimously liked. Also Avicii's songs I expect to score high. EDIT: Also forgot Burn. That's obviously going to do well in this I think.

As for the four that failed to get over 1000, I'm thinking they'll be One Direction, Get Up/Rattle (unfortunately :(), Let's Get Ready to Rhumble (which is a catchy song imo, but the circumstances in which it got #1 mean it's not as liked as it perhaps should be) and Skyscraper.

Which are going to be the bottom four that didn't get 1000 points?

I'm thinking...

It's quite hard to predict this, anything could happen really but the win will probably go to Katy or Daft Punk.

30th ~ PJ & Duncan - Let's Get Ready to Rhumble ~ 260 points

Collecting -10 from eight people, one of the most surprising #1s of the year is definitely one of the worst and a deserving last place. Originally released in 1994, it took off again in March following a performance on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

Highest score: 110 (x1)

-10s: Eight

29th ~ Sam Bailey - Skyscraper ~ 460 points

A fantastic song but a mediocre cover version from the latest X Factor winner. I don't hear the same raw emotion that makes the Demi original hold such a special place in my heart - at least that got some recognition itself by becoming a top 10 single earlier in the year.

Highest score: 140 (x1)

-10s: Zero

'Let's Get Ready To Rhumble' isn't the worst #1 of the year imo, but it does deserve to finish last as it's not even from this year and it was mostly being bought 'for the lolz'. It's also good to see 'Skyscraper' finishing lowly, 2013 has been the worst year for X-Factor since I started following it and this single is clearly reflective of that. It sounds like a note-for-note version of the Demi original, whereas James Arthur actually made 'Impossible' his own last year.

As long as 'I Love It' doesn't win I'll be happy. Sadly that's definitely a possibility though. It'll be that or 'Roar' (or possibly 'Get Lucky'). I didn't vote for 'Roar' either but it'd be an acceptable winner, Icona Pop just no though.

Poor iconic PJ & Duncan :(

Really went off Skyscraper very quickly, it's not awful but it's just not got a lot to it. The original means so much to me that I knew I wouldn't love Sam's cover in the same way I did Cannonball and Impossible but it doesn't have a fraction of the emotion of the original.

Roar or Wrecking Ball ftw please! Well anything but Get Lucky would be fab

28th ~ Bingo Players feat. Far East Movement - Get Up (Rattle) ~ 720 points

The second #1 of the year held the top spot for a couple of weeks but was far from being one of the biggest hits of the year in the long-run. I dislike the song a lot but the video with the ducks is cute. rip Paul from Bingo Players

Highest score: 130 (x1)

-10s: One

27th ~ One Direction - One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks) ~ 780 points

An unsurprising result as the Comic Relief single for 2013 received a lot of hate on here and I'm just pleased it avoided the bottom 3. I'm not huge on either original but I love this version, being my 2nd favourite #1 of the year - pretty much the opposite opinion to everyone else.

It was far from a note for note cover, Bailey could actually reach most of the notes in the song, where Lovato couldn't! (and even those she could reach she couldn't hold)

1D :( I do think some of the hate it gets is down to the fact that it's them singing it and if it were any other artist, it'd be received a bit better at least, but not bottom 3 is a good enough result I guess. It's my 2nd favourite #1 of the year behind What About Us.
Those were the bottom 4 I was thinking off
It's sad seeing Bingo Players so low, but the version that made #1 is so much worse than the original mix (without FEM) so I can at least understand the hate it gets here.

I actually don't mind Rattle, but I wouldn't have put it too much higher. It's about on the level of 'I wouldn't listen to it out of choice but I'd keep the station on if it came on the radio'.

Her voice breaking was exactly what made the song for me. It makes for so much more emotion, whereas Sam just left me cold. But each to their own, it's just the original is in my top 5 songs of all time and I can't stand seeing people slating it, I get all defensive fangirl over Demi :P

26th ~ Jason Derulo feat. 2 Chainz - Talk Dirty ~ 1430 points

The second single from Jason's album "Tattoos" featured rapper 2 Chainz and had comparisons to "Thrift Shop" which finishes higher. It sold very impressively in the UK first week and is just finding US success. Not a bad song but I much prefer "The Other Side" and "Trumpets".

Highest score: 130 (x2)

-10s: Two

25th ~ Pharrell Williams - Happy ~ 1560 points

The first of three songs with a Pharrell Williams credit is the current #1 and last of 2013. Very annoying and very repetitive (and that's just the short version of the video!) but I'm pleased it's achieving great sales after the weeks of very poor sales for #1.

Highest score: 130 (x1)

-10s: Two
