Happy is absolutely AWFUL. Get Lucky was bad enough but this is honestly not much better :(

LOVE Talk Dirty though, thought it may have been a bit higher!

As long as 'I Love It' doesn't win I'll be happy. Sadly that's definitely a possibility though. It'll be that or 'Roar' (or possibly 'Get Lucky'). I didn't vote for 'Roar' either but it'd be an acceptable winner, Icona Pop just no though.

I completely agree there. I think it's a real possibility though and I'm almost expecting it. :(

I'll be hoping either Wake Me Up or La La La has gone all the way, Get Lucky would be fab enough too and I could just about handle Roar. And all of the songs so far are quite below par for #1s (aside from Happy which I'm still deciding on). I think that's everything.

24th ~ Calvin Harris and Alesso feat. Hurts - Under Control ~ 1580 points

Highest score: 150 (x1)

-10s: Zero

23rd ~ Lily Allen - Somewhere Only We Know ~ 1590 points

Highest score: 140 (x1)

-10s: Two

Our joint closest result involves two songs that formed a sandwich with Lily being #1 either side of Calvin. "Under Control" hasn't stuck around very well at all but it's one of the best dance tunes of 2013 imo and my favourite from Calvin! Lily Allen's comeback was part of the John Lewis Christmas ad campaign with a bland cover of Keane. Low sales at the top end of the chart helped her get a few non-consecutive weeks at #1, much to the annoyance of some.

Get out.

It's an atrocity. Just the sort of shite that has certain Buzzjackers going mental about for months.

My ears have yet to forgive me.

All those awful dance songs (Animals, Look Right Through Me, Under Control, Rattle) sort of just blend into eachother. None of them are memorable at all and definitely the worst #1's for me.

Surprised 'Talk Dirty' is so low, though.

I'd love The Sats or Eminem/Rihanna to win but no chance.

Erm, I would have though that Animals is memorable for its unconventional structure and Look Right Through is memorable for its 90s dance influences is it not?

Animal's structure isn't unconventional is it? I think the thing about the song that will get it remembered the most is simply the fact that it's an instrumental, but other than that it's fairly standard imo.

I think Look Right Through is one of the most memorable #1s of this year. Such a legendary song, and it will always remind me of summer and autumn 2013. :)

I was thinking more about the subdued breakdown.

It's a Shame no one else joined me :(

22nd ~ will.i.am feat. Britney Spears - Scream & Shout ~ 1950 points

Highest score: 150 (x1)

-10s: One

21st ~ Storm Queen - Look Right Through (MK Remix) ~ 2350 points

Highest score: 150 (x1)

-10s: Zero

Here we have the first #1 of 2013 and one of the later ones. I can understand why "Scream & Shout" is quite marmite as I came round to love it after hating it on first listen. Too bad it hasn't really helped Britney in the long-run but she left it too late. "Look Right Through" is our first song to pass the 2000 point barrier - I don't quite 'get' it myself but it's not the most offensive thing in the countdown.

Pleasingly low for will.i.am (but on the other hand disappointingly low for Storm Queen).

I'M QUITE SHOE, that you never knew~ (in-joke)

Scream & Shout, of course, remains an abomination

Let's race through this a bit

20th ~ Martin Garrix - Animals ~ 2760 points

Highest score: 150 (x3)

-10s: Two

19th ~ Robin Thicke feat. T.I. & Pharrell - Blurred Lines ~ 2820 points

Highest score: 140 (x1)

-10s: Eight

18th ~ Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Wanz - Thrift Shop ~ 2830 points

Highest score: 150 (x3)

-10s: Two

17th ~ Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop ~ 2890 points

Highest score: 150 (x3)

-10s: Five

Three of the most marmite tracks of the year here. For all the love Blurred Lines gets and how successful it's been, it appears to get a lot of hate with eight people (myself included) picking it as the worst #1 of the year, matching the -10s of PJ & Duncan! The breakthrough single for Macklemore is just ahead of Robin Thicke & co, another track I used to hate but came around to. Miley Cyrus unsurprisingly picked up her share of hate with her first UK #1 as well, it was definitely a different direction for her and it's easy to see where the hate comes from but I love it.

I'm surprised Martin Garrix is so low but then what did make the top 19 makes sense. (Almost entirely) instrumental tracks aren't usually my thing but "Animals" is awesome.

'Animals' should've finished higher imo but Buzzjack don't normally take to instrumental club tracks so it's nice to see it doing relatively well on this and the multichart.
Blurred Lines, Thrift Shop, We Can't Stop and Look Right Through should be higher imo. I love will.i.am but I hardly ever listened to Scream & Shout, so not too upset about that. I just hope Tulisa is getting royalties from the song.
