Good to see 'Boomerang' and 'What About Us' included but the second disk is awful. No 'Thrift Shop' 'Stay' or 'When I Was Your Man' :(

Yeah! Very, VERY odd at the snub for 'Thrift Shop' (although with it being on an independent label, I guess they couldn't get the rights to it! Especially odd as they have Fleetwood Mac on there! 'Stay' and 'When I Was Your Man' aren't too much of a shock considering the respective artists already have a song on there, WIWYM will be on Now 85 though. But they've have two songs plenty of times before by the same artists... so God knows. Maybe it's because they gave P!nk and Disclosure the two songs... Despite 'Stay' being a bigger hit than 'Try'. Perhaps that'll be tacked onto the end of Disc 1 for 85?

Also, DOUBLE snub for Justin Timberlake! :\ WHAT? 'Suit & Tie' at LEAST should be on there... ('Mirrors' I suspect will be on 85 etc...)

Actually looks like a really good track list besides the aforementioned exclusions which they probably couldn't get the rights to (maybe Justin's trying to boost album sales by keeping licensing his new material back until Now 85). I'd not have given One Direction the disc 1, track 1 honour but I suppose they had to get one eventually!

NOW 84 looks really good. I'm really happy with the double apperance from P!nk. Her album is just amazing. No Adele which isn't shocking in my opinion, it's not even on the Skyfall Soundtrack. Happy to see Girls Aloud are on it, as well as Christina Perri, Alicia Keys and McFly on the album.

It's a nice collection of songs!

Not too bad really. Don't mind the exclusions because they're all pretty average songs for me (I know most are loved on Buzzjack). Double appearance for Pink is magnificent and it's probably the first time an artist I really love has got one. Although I doubt she'll be on the next one now because I can't see any other album tracks being that successful.

No Maroon 5, Dido and Stereophonics but I knew from the start that would be the case. Shame Dido has only been on one Now.

 for all these songs:

CD 1

01 One Direction – One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks)

03 Taylor Swift – I Knew You Were Trouble

04 P!nk feat. Nate Ruess – Just Give Me A Reason

17 One Direction – Little Things

18 P!nk – Try

19 Gabrielle Aplin – Please Don’t Say You Love Me

21. Ellie Goulding – Explosions

Tbh my predicted tracklisting is better than the real thing :P

These songs especially are very questionable:

12 Biffy Clyro – Black Chandelier

14 McFly – Love Is Easy

20 Fleetwood Mac – Everywhere

And P!nk so high on Disc 1 with JGMAR?? No Thrift Shop or Justin??

Here are the songs I predicted but didn't actually get on the tracklisting:

01 Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Wanz "Thrift Shop"

08 Rihanna feat. Mikky Ekko "Stay"

09 Justin Timberlake feat. Jay-Z "Suit & Tie"

10 Adele "Skyfall"

15 Little Mix "Change Your Life"

19 Bruno Mars "When I Was Your Man"

01 Justin Timberlake "Mirrors"

09 Baauer "Harlem Shake"

10 50 Cent feat. Eminem & Adam Levine "My Life"

14 Olly Murs "Army Of Two"

17 Jake Bugg "Lightning Bolt"

19 Matrix & Futurebound feat. Baby Blue "Magnetic Eyes"

Are they actually taking the piss with some of those songs that didn't make it on the tracklist?! Seriously.
Oh I wish some of the massive moaners on here were buying Nows back when A LOT MORE big hits missed to cut because they were splattered all over other compilation series. Nows 39,41, 44, etc missed out loads of big hits but were still damn good listens.

That's even worse when you consider that Now basically have more rights to songs these days. We're not living in 1998 anymore, we're living in 2013 when things like that shouldn't happen.

And yes, I was a massive Now music fan when I was younger and have all of them from Now 32 onwards, so I do have some idea about what those albums sounded like.

The first disc is really good but once again the second disc let's it down. Their is around 10 songs I'd get rid off from it.

Yes but to these particular songs that are missing, they may not have the rights. Things have changed for Nowmusic with EMI selling their shares. The biggest problem with the youth of today is expecting absolutely everything right away, and that it all be perfect like Nowmusic owe you or something.

And FYI, I'd take 1998 any day of the piss poor excuse for a year of music 2013 is turning out to be.

If you're referring to me, I do not come under your stereotype at all, so please don't assume things.

That is if you're referring to me.

That is how you came across in the post though. That in 2013 people expect more than 15 years ago. I'm sure you probably didn't mean to come across like that but then it's hardly your fault since you're technically right, we should be able to expect more 15 years later but I just find the attitude that songs have been 'snubbed' by Now utterly ridiculous. Now that comment was aimed at other posters, not you.

How do you even know what 1998 was like? you were only a baby then

Which songs do we reckon will be featured on the advert for NOW 84?

I guess the tracklisting means that One Direction will be featured on it and they will almost certainly have the first song mentioned.

Im surprised that Harlem Shake, Justin Timberlake, Thrift Shop, Stay are not on the list.
