May 16, 201411 yr Really hope they don't choose either Mel B or Alesha Dixon for the last spot.. They need someone who is currently relevant and someone a bit fiery. In my opinion I think Lily Allen would be amazing as a judge, but obviously not going to happen because of the spat with Cheryl etc
May 16, 201411 yr ^ Lily would be great and I would have thought they'd both have put the spat behind them considering how trivial it was and the length of time since. I hope Cheryl doesn't have veto power on the fourth judge as part of her contract though or we're likely to end up with a bland choice like Demi :(.
May 16, 201411 yr Has Cheryl not been calling the shots since the beginning though with decisions? Just seems she lost the battle with the producers to replace Louis.
May 16, 201411 yr Has Cheryl not been calling the shots since the beginning though with decisions? Just seems she lost the battle with the producers to replace Louis. What other things would she have had a say in? Obviously she wouldn't want to have her old poor excuse of a manager on the panel with her. Not sure what else so far she'd have called the shots *on*. And I'm REALLY hoping for Mel B, she's EXACTLY what this panel needs to make it 5 stars *.*
May 16, 201411 yr I don't even know the difference between Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. Is the former the one who went to rehab? Yes after punching her ginger backing dancer What other things would she have had a say in? Obviously she wouldn't want to have her old poor excuse of a manager on the panel with her. Not sure what else so far she'd have called the shots *on*. And I'm REALLY hoping for Mel B, she's EXACTLY what this panel needs to make it 5 stars *.* Mel B is a really good judge, but an awful mentor. It's like as soon as it gets to judges houses she gets bored or stops caring.
May 16, 201411 yr What other things would she have had a say in? I don't know, I'm not with her seeing what she's doing, and I also included a question mark...
May 16, 201411 yr I don't know, I'm not with her seeing what she's doing, and I also included a question mark... You were assuming that she *was* calling the shots, which to me makes no sense for the reasons I stated. Not sure why you needed to get defensive but fine ~
May 29, 201411 yr I guess Demi announcing US tour dates that run into October and clash with live shows puts that rumour to bed? Tinie was already rumoured a while back but with him being on Cheryl's new single, could he be part of the panel? ~
May 29, 201411 yr Mel B is a really good judge, but an awful mentor. It's like as soon as it gets to judges houses she gets bored or stops caring. I swear she just picks songs/staging/routine out of a hat and hopes for the best  I love her but she can't mentor to save her life, still not forgiven her for Christina :( I did read on Tellymix that she's in negotiations though :o She's doing America's Got Talent and The Voice Kids in Australia though so surely that's too much?
May 30, 201411 yr Mel B n final X Factor judge discussions with Simon Cowell - Ready to Spice up the panel! The singer discussed what character she would take on next to Cheryl Cole, and she's determined not to be TOO scary Cheryl Cole should be scared: very, very scared. Scary Spice Mel B flew over to London from the States on Tuesday for a one–hour meeting with X Factor head honcho, Simon Cowell. And Mel has virtually guaranteed herself the coveted judging job after successfully pitching for the gig. Told she will be there to Spice-up (sorry) the panel, Simon sees her relationship with Chezza as key to the whole thing. Rather than going down the cliched cat-fight road, Si, 54, is going for Girl Power – pitching the pair as friends, not enemies. But that is not to say Mel won’t stand her ground when necessary... We're told: “Mel flew in specially to see Simon and they met in his office at Sony HQ. “Melanie has been a front-runner for a long time now, mainly because she did such a good job as a guest judge a couple of years ago. “She’s got the necessary experience, has a proven track record in the music industry and knows her stuff. “They discussed what kind of 'character' Mel should play – she was adamant she didn’t want to be bad cop to Cheryl’s good. She told Simon she would be Scary Spice, and have attitude, but not be unnecessarily rude or provocative. Simon sees Mel and Cheryl working well together in a girl power kinda way. He thinks their chemistry will be good and really shake things up.Although Alesha is still in the frame, Mel and Simon have agreed personal terms and everyone is confident the deal will be announced shortly.” The former Spice Girl, who turns 39 today, flew back home to LA yesterday to start filming the ninth series of America’s Got Talent. She is due to finish making The Voice Kids in Australia next month. So she will be free in time to begin filming on the new series of the hit Saturday night ITV show. The singer has agreed to move back to the UK for the duration of filming so she’s available for all the press and promotional activities. June 3, 201411 yr Sara Cox is now in the running: http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/06/03...l#slide=3526790 TBH i would love Coxy as a Judge!
June 3, 201411 yr PLEASE GOD NO Simon said yesterday that the deal has been finalised though (he confirmed the final judge is a woman), so how could Sara be "in final talks", that might be just a rumour! I'd be shocked if it wasn't Mel B at this stage, although with The Voice Kids in Australia and America's Got Talent her schedule will be tight...
June 3, 201411 yr lol Sara Cox I definitely can't see it being anybody other than Mel B at this stage.
June 3, 201411 yr Unfortunately it's highly likely to be Mel B. I like her as a guest judge, but not full time. She cannot mentor for sh*t. Sara Cox > Mel B
June 3, 201411 yr I FRIGGING LOVE SARA COX I hope it's not Mel B purely for the shock factor, although practically anyone is preferable over Demi Lovato, whose only substance on X Factor USA was her """"hilar banter with Simon lols"""" which is pretty much the only thing Cheryl does. We don't need two damp squibs. I'd love someone feisty like Mel B really (like I say, the only reason I oppose her being on it is because I want somebody who I didn't expect).
June 3, 201411 yr Demi was amazing on X Factor USA  Although admittedly her and Cheryl do take up similar roles in regards to their relationship with Simon on their respective panels! :kink: I'd still have loved Demi to have joined the UK panel though but with her new world tour, that has of course ruled her out.
