Drunk In Love doing amazingly well for an album track, yay for Beyonce's good song doing better than the average one.

An album track? Wouldn't call a Grammy opener and #2 streamed song in the US as an album track.

The fact that Radio 1 or someone plays XO more doesn't mean DIL is an album track only.

I agree. I don't think it's fair to class it as an album track now, given she's given the track promo, radio adds etc. It's basically getting the single treatment.

Yes it does. It's an album track with high exposure but that doesn't make it a single. Same with 'Read All About It (Pt. III)'.

The return of pants!

And ACTUAL Maroon 5 :P

That's in the US though, where it's an urban single. We don't have that in the UK, XO is the single and DIL is an album track. :)

It's no different to the many post-album 'singles' that don't get official EPs or release dates. Yet, they're still classed as singles.

Maybe we should call the last hour of the show 'The Actual Pants Hour'.

It *is* different because those songs were officially sent to radio stations whereas 'Drunk In Love' hasn't in the UK, only in the USA.

Ok if we look back like 5 years from now some of you are going to say that DIL wasn't a single?

Unless it gets made one, yes. :P Being a single is not exactly a requisite for UK chart success since 2007.

Did anyone noticed the song samples a couple of Motown tunes from the late 60's

Those post-album singles get sent to radio though. I don't think Drunk in Love has been (or else Radio 1 would almost certainly have playlisted it).

All this information is made public in the US, and only XO has been sent to mainstream radio there, not Drunk in Love. I assume that's the same in the UK. I think Drunk in Love will get released to mainstream radio soon though, since it's doing so well.

One of the most powerful tracks that i've ever heard from a girl group. But there is no information about this song in Wikipedia..

You're in denial! :D On the Capital Playlist = sent to radio stations

Beyoncé - XO

Beyoncé feat. Jay Z - Drunk In Love

I'm not sure about this, it sounds like five different songs melded together, this 'breakdown' in particular is weak. It's a lot better than whatever that thing was that they released first.
