February 13, 201412 yr 'Feelin' Myself' is doing a lot better than I thought, both in terms of first week sales and longevity - that said it did have a pretty enormous sales slump last week despite only dropping two places. It's actually growing on me again now after I'd become totally bored of it by the time of its release. Glad to see Dapper Laughs on the chart now :D Would be hilarious if he held onto top 10 but that's unlikely if he's only #8 today. I sincerely hope that nothing so misogynistic is anywhere near the upper echelons of the chart. He is reinforcing a horrendous concept of masculinity that is incredibly damaging for gender equality.

He is reinforcing a horrendous concept of masculinity that is incredibly damaging for gender equality. I highly doubt any of it's meant to be taken as any more than tongue-in-cheek. Its just standard 'lad' humour.
February 13, 201412 yr I highly doubt any of it's meant to be taken as any more than tongue-in-cheek. Its just standard 'lad' humour. And possibly piss off a bunch of feminists at the same time... :P
February 13, 201412 yr I highly doubt any of it's meant to be taken as any more than tongue-in-cheek. Its just standard 'lad' humour. Considering the relatively tamer 'Blurred Lines' was banned in some university campuses etc, this song would definitely have huge opposition if it ever took off (thankfully it won't).
February 13, 201412 yr Oh wow! Did not expect Katy B to be #1! So happy for her and hope it holds on for the official chart Sunday. ^_^
February 13, 201412 yr If Katy Perry doesn't deliver another shoddy performance at the Brits, I can see her at #1 in the next couple of weeks, especially as the video drops next week and it's on Radio1's playlist now.

February 13, 201412 yr Katy B set to debut on sales of around 22k then, half that of 'On A Mission'. Still relatively good and could have been a whole lot worse.
February 13, 201412 yr Will Zedd go #1? :o Low sales for Katy B but at least it's a confirmed #1. Zedd will be nowhere near unfortunately, still top 2 for it is a solid enough result.
February 13, 201412 yr Shame Le Youth has slipped out the top 10, I was hoping it could hold on but its not to be...least its going to be his highest charting single so far Not great sales for Katy B, I knew she wouldn't be anywhere near On A Missions first week sales but I would have hoped for 30k
February 14, 201412 yr Midweek Charts update: Clean Bandit narrow gap on Zedd Source: MW by Paul Williams Clean Bandit are increasing the pressure on Zedd after cutting his lead at the top of the midweek singles chart to around 1,000 sales. At the beginning of the week the Russian-German electronic producer's Interscope/Polydor-issued Stay The Night with Hayley Williams opened up a lead in the singles market of about 7,000 units, according to the Official Charts Company. However, that has now been reduced to 1,200 copies as Atlantic act Clean Bandit look to secure a fourth week at No 1 with Rather Be featuring Jess Glynne. Pharrell Williams' RCA-handled Happy drops 2-3 in the week to date, while Parlophone's David Guetta shows up as a new entry at No 4 with Shot Me Down featuring Skylar Grey. Having debuted at No 3 last Sunday, the Ministry of Sound-issued Dibby Dibby Sound by DJ Fresh featuring Jay Fay and Ms Dynamite is now down to No 5. Katy B heads the artist albums countdown at this stage of the week with her second newly-issued Rinse/Columbia set Little Red as Polydor's Ellie Goulding moves back up 3-2 with Halcyon as sales rise 43%, while Metal & Dust/Ministry of Sound's London Grammar climb 4-3 with If You Wait on the back of a 124% sales increase prompted by their performance last Friday on Graham Norton's BBC One chat show. Beyonce's self-titled RCA-handled set is back up 5-4 and Avicii's Positiva/PRMD album True slips 2-5 and is joined in the Top 10 by new entries from Heavenly's Temples and Lisa Stansfield on her Monkeynatra label. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Friday Update Top 40 Only Singles 1 Zedd feat. February 14, 201412 yr The chart commentary seems pretty confident that Zedd is 1,200 ahead of Clean Bandit Mikey, which is correct? 'Stay The Night' or 'Rather Be'? Either way, I think Clean Bandit have certainly clinched #1 on Sunday, now. :(
February 14, 201412 yr The chart commentary definitely suggests it's Zedd that's 1,200 copies ahead, not Clean Bandit.

I know, that was my prep work I forgot to re-edit my own prediction it went out of the window I really expected Clean Bandit to be #1 today. Its all sorted now, disaster averted :P
February 14, 201412 yr I'm surprised David is already at 4, I expected he's be more around 7 - 9 at this point!
