Goodness gracious she can't seem to stop (climbing the charts) :o It had to be done

Good to see her climbing though, hopefully it can go top 20 with the BRITs effect.

Rout 94 & Jess Glynne - My Love is  to #57. :o I wonder if this can go Top 10 on pre orders alone before release?

can't see it, but top 40 looks very likely :D hopefully a #1 (providing nothing big gets in the way)

Frozen songs on the rise again! .... Do you want to build a snowman now has two versions top 75 ! :o
Oooh! Really hope DYWTBAS can get top 40 at some point! (Although I really doubt it :() it's beautiful. Why ARE the 'Frozen' songs climbing again? Is it because 'Frozen' won the "Best Animation Film" BAFTA?
When I saw Don't You Want a Build a Snowman in the charts a couple of months ago I just thought it was some random Christmas song.

I hope so, one of my favourite songs of last year!

The point with "Riptide" is compounded by the fact that they didn't touch "Pompeii". They can't purport to be a "hits station" and miss out a selection of hits so obviously weighted in one genre direction. Have they played much Imagine Dragons?

capital can be a bit weird at times. not sure why they'd avoid playing something like Pompeii, which is essentially just a pop song, (only in a SLIGHTLY indie-er form) and evidently a very popular one at that! Though if comparemyradio is anything to go by, capital seem to love Of The Night, so i'm not sure what their logic is

Imagine Dragons have had 1 play on Capital over the past 30 days according to Compare My Radio. I wouldn't mind betting that's just on the Big Top 40 as Heart have also only played it once too. :http://comparemyradio.com/artists/Imagine_Dragons

Yeah they play Of The Night a lot. Or at least they did over December when I was home from uni and capital was on around the house.

They play Of the Night because it's a cover of dance songs. They played You've Got the Love by Florence + the Machine as well for the same reason.

They shouldn't, they're able to play what they feel would go down best with the audience. I like Riptide, I want it to stick around even longer, but Capital shouldn't have to play it just because it's a hit. No radio station touched Work Bitch despite it making the top 5 on iTunes on its release week, hence why it plummeted.

Omg are we still going on about Work Bitch? It wasn't playlisted by radio 1 because she's yesterday's news on the pop scene now, I'm sure the playlist meeting about it went is she still relevant - not really, is this anything new or unique which could bring her back to relevancy - no it's generic tripe - NEXT!

Capital don't play songs like Riptide because of genre not their audience!

There was a good analysis of this by MW last week in their 2013 airplay analysis basically complaining at capital not playing songs by Bastille one of the breakthroughs of the yr sales wise and blaming them for a lack of promotion of new artists!

But it isn't Capital's genre and they shouldn't be forced to play it.

Performers for The Brits tonight:

Arctic Monkeys

Bastille

Beyoncé

Bruno Mars (why?)

Ellie Goulding

Katy Perry

Lorde & Disclosure

Pharrell

Rudimental

I think the biggest boosts will be for Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Pharrell and Bastille.

Predictions on what each will perform?

Arctic Monkeys - not sure. Probably Do I Wanna Know?

Bastille - Pompeii

Bruno Mars - Young Girls

Beyoncé - Pretty Hurts [apparently is a song she's never done live before. Can only imagine it's gonna be the next single, and Pretty Hurts is the most likely for that I think]

Ellie Goulding - Burn/Goodness Gracious mash up

Katy Perry - Dark Horse

Pharrel - Happy

Rudimental - Waiting All Night

Disclosure & Lorde - really got no idea here. they've apparently never even met so I can't imagine it's gonna be a new song? In which case it'll either be a remix of Royals, or a cover of one of their female-lead songs. But I can't really see Lorde pulling off a dance track. It wouldn't be White Noise either cos that's nominated and they couldn't have another artist performing it. Which means it's probably gonna be You & Me? I dunno, this one will be very interesting.

Yeah that sounds right, except I hope think Beyoncé will do 'Drunk in Love'. I think the Disclosure/Lorde collab will be her singing Royals with Disclosure adding their sounds to it.

EDIT - I've just read that Beyoyo will sing a song she's never done live. So that rules out DIL. :(

Yeah. Would have loved a Drunk In Love performance boost but I suppose it would just be the same as her Grammy performance. It depends whether that means never performed live in general or never performed on TV because if it's the latter I would guess she will perform 'XO'.
