February 16, 201412 yr I'm glad they snubbed that Irish Brigade song. So generic - I'm surprised it doesn't have a Pitbull verse.
February 16, 201412 yr Wow! They only played about 5 seconds of that Irish Brigade track! :o Are you surprised? I didn't think they would play it at all.

Born in Stockholm in 1989, Berg only started making music at the age of 18, writing and remixing tracks in his bedroom and then leaking them onto various blogs. Influenced by Daft Punk and Steve Angello, his melodic house sound gained a huge following, and led to support from Tiësto, who invited him to perform a weekly residency at Privilege in Ibiza, and Pete Tong, who released first single "Manman" through his Bedroom Bedlam label. After he remixed tracks for Little Boots, Robyn, and Dizzee Rascal, Berg's first mainstream release, the Ministry of Sound instrumental "Seek Bromance," became a huge hit across Europe and later in the U.K., thanks to a vocal version featuring Amanda Wilson. In 2012 he released the song "2 Million" after reaching that number of followers on Facebook, while his single "Le7els" and its accompanying video were nominated at that year's MTV Music Video Awards. Towards the end of 2012 he released his highly-anticipated collaboration single with Nicky Romero. "I Could Be The One" was a smash hit and was featured heavily on reality TV shows and radio play across Europe. In 2013, Avicii teamed up with Ericsson and creates the first "crowdsourced" track which enabled the producer to connect to fans and promote his brand. The single "3 Million" was released to celebrate the 3 millionth fan on his Facebook page. "Le7els" was nominated for the Best Dance Recording at the 2013 Grammys but lost out to Skrillex & Sirah's "Bangarang". Ahead of his debut album #TRUE, he released the single "Wake Me Up" in June 2013. Featuring Aloe Blacc, it reached the top of the UK Charts and confidently showed off his new musical direction. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi / iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2010 13 Seek Bromance (As Tim Berg) -NAS- 2010 46 My Feelings For You (Avicii And Sebastien Drums) -1- 2011 04 Collide (Leona Lewis/Avicii) 2011 04 Levels -NAS- 2012 22 Silhouettes (Avicii Feat. February 16, 201412 yr Is the version of Wake Me Up that Radio 1 has played in the past few weeks seemed shorter to anyone else? It sounds like they've cut down the 1st and 2nd verses a bit.

Overnight popularity wasn't a new thing for the Cyrus family; Miley's father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, went from obscurity to stardom in a few short months in 1992, when "Achy Breaky Heart" became a crossover hit. The success of "Achy Breaky Heart" was hardly the only memorable event for Billy Ray that year, though, as he and his wife welcomed their daughter Destiny Hope Cyrus into the world on November 23, 1992. Destiny's cheerful disposition as a child earned her the nickname Smiley, which stuck when it was shortened to Miley. Miley's career as a professional actress began in 2003, when she appeared alongside her father in an episode of the television series Doc. The same year, she landed a small role in the Tim Burton film Big Fish. The budding actress had also developed an interest in writing songs and learning how to sing, and in 2005, she landed a role that allowed her to put her skills in acting and music to work. Miley was cast in the title role of Hannah Montana, in which she played a teenage girl leading a double life: by day, she's Miley Stewart, an ordinary kid dealing with school, friends, siblings, and all the other foibles of life for a 14-year-old, while at night she dons a wig and becomes Hannah Montana, a multi-platinum pop star whose career is guided by her dad, songwriter Robby Stewart. Miley's friends don't know she's also Hannah, however, and keeping this a secret is no simple matter. After debuting in March 2006, Hannah Montana became an immediate success with young viewers and led to the release of a soundtrack CD in October, featuring Miley singing eight songs from the show along with five related tracks (including a duet with her father, Billy Ray, on "I Learned from You"). That fall, Miley hit the road as the opening act for another Disney-spawned pop act, the Cheetah Girls. A reissue of the Hannah Montana album followed in March 2007, not long after the show's theme song, "The Best of Both Worlds," was released as a single. A second Hannah Montana record, Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus, was released in summer 2007. That fall, Cyrus embarked on the Best of Both Worlds tour, which stretched into early 2008 and was edited into The Best of Both Worlds Concert film, which was released that spring. By then, Cyrus was busy recording Breakout, her first full-fledged album as herself, as well as shooting Hannah Montana: The Movie, which was slated for release the following year. Breakout arrived in summer 2008. It topped the Billboard charts and quickly went platinum, paving the way for an even more successful year in 2009. Hannah Montana: The Movie was released that March and peaked at number one, while the soundtrack's lead single — a country-pop ballad called "The Climb" — became one of the year's most omnipresent songs, giving Miley her first multi-platinum hit. A short album, The Time of Our Lives, arrived several months later and yielded another hit with "Party in the U.S.A.," which charted inside the Billboard Top Ten for 16 weeks. Cyrus performed the song on the "Wonder World Tour," her first international tour, and also found time to film another movie, The Last Song, which hit theaters in 2010. With acting assuming such a large role in her life, Cyrus announced her decision to take a hiatus from music — but not before the release of her third album, Can't Be Tamed, which appeared that summer. ~ Mark Deming & Andrew Leahey, Rovi / iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2007 43 The Best Of Both Worlds (as Hannah Montana) -OST- 2008 11 See You Again -1- 2008 25 7 Things -1- 2009 16 Fly On The Wall -2- 2009 11 The Climb -OST- 2009 18 Hoedown Throwdown -OST- 2009 11 Party In The U.S.A. -1- 2010 13 Can't Be Tamed -2- 2013 34 Fall Down (will.i.am Feat. February 16, 201412 yr My friend watched the video to "Adore You" and said "how big is the bed she's in?" I actually quite like the song, more so than 'We Can't Stop' but it's nowhere near as good as 'Wrecking Ball', though it doesn't sound very commercial - perhaps that's why it's not doing so well.
February 16, 201412 yr I couldn't really care less to be honest with you! :P You cared enough to comment though.

February 16, 201412 yr This week's dropouts: 26 17 6 Matrix & Futurebound feat. Max Marshall Control Surprising that this spent as long in the top 10 as in the rest of the top 40, including a second week climb! I guess low competition at the start did that, but I still would've expected it to stick around a bit longer.

February 16, 201412 yr 9 place climb for 'Team' :cheer: 'Royals' out of the top 40 though as I expected, ah well. Hopefully the BRITs can boost it back in (assuming she's performing it).
