Last nights performance was absolutely fantastic, especially that dance break. It all just worked as well as I hoped it would in my mind before the performance, every bit as gritty and punchy as I imagined. Delighted it's getting the iTunes success it deserves aswell, hopefully a top 10 peak with it maybe maybe please?

AMAZING performance last night and one of the best i've seen on one of these shows. Genius collab between the two acts <3

Song is hitting me all over again too and i'm so, so happy it's doing well on iTunes.

Chorus was probably pre-recorded/mimed yeah, but Jade was almost certainly live...

Still can't get over this performance! Definitely my favourite girl group performance in a LONG time for me!

I'm soooo pleased at how this is doing. Can't believe it's top 5 on iTunes and still increasing. I doubt it'll make top 5 officially but could make 6/7/8 which would be fantastic given I thought this was flopping and the fact they've never enjoyed a post-album top 10 single before.

Capital have already started playing this more since it's increase on iTunes, so hopefully overall airplay will increase and give it some proper longevity!

Wonderful to see it doing well, i had feared it would miss the top 20 altogether, strong performance on BGT and with increased radio support a decent sized hit it now looks.
How much had it sold (roughly) before BGT?

Probably about 30k including last week's sales?

That potentially could increase by 20,000 - 25,000 this week. 100,000 is looking bright.
Could Salute actually go top 5?
I feel it will miss out and have a number 7 or number 8 peak. A top 10 peak is great, i did fear it would not each the top 20 at various stages. Ideally, the album will get a good boost, Salute (the album) deserves platinum status and more but is struggling to get there.

Good news this week:

First Mids:

Single:

05. 'Salute' >> 11.8k <<

---

Album:

30. 'Salute'

:D Looking to end the week on 20k-25k & just 2k away from Sam Smith at #4! (He'll extend his lead though)

Of all their post-album singles, I'm glad it'll be this one that'll be the first top ten (and potentially highest seller if airplay picks up)

The power of a perfectly timed TV performance! 1D take note.

It really was a brilliant performance though. They totally outshone Cheryl, her performance seemed so lacklustre following after.

It is also 2 consecutive top 10 hits for them as this follows the non album word up.
Glad this is putting them back up in the charts after the relative failure of Little Me and Word Up, Salute should have been the follow up to Move

I wouldn't say Little Me was a failure, it did averagely for a post-album single and comfortably sold over 100k. Word Up, was obviously a flop, though.
