 8. The Human League- Don't You Want Me

Wow!. Fantastic to see in the Top10. One of my favourite UK #1's from the 80s.

Wasn't there a campaign by people from Scotland with a Tina Turner song a few years ago as well?

Yes there was. Back in 2010 where Rangers FC fans did a campaign to get this into the chart. It re-entered at #9. After Rangers won the Scottish Premier League, I believe.

 at this year's Comic Relief single being beaten by a 33-year old song.

Not that I'm complaining.

Don't You Want Me is such an epic track, I am glad to see it back in the charts :)

I can't wait for the anti-over 13s station Radio 1 to play it in the charts, that will show them!

Just like it did with 'We Built This City' recently REALLY showed them...

This is the man who has inspired the return of Don't You Want Me to the top 10:

His name is Peter Pawlett and he is a midfielder for Aberdeen who helped them win the Scottish League Cup

And this is Aberdeen fans singing his name:

I thought my internet was being dodgy when I saw Don't You Want Me at #08 on the Buzzjack homepage.

Not complaining though, fantastic song.

:(

Await until Dundee United win the Scottish Cup - 'Beautiful Sunday' or 'Love Is In The Air' for number one.

Wow! :o Human League is coming to slay your modern day favourites :P

Next Soft Cell please "Tainted Love" :D That would be amazing.

Or can we start a Buzzjack campaign for Vienna, make sure the track gets to #1 this time :P

I am really sick of all campaigns, but I would be OK with this going to #1. Seminal classic!

'Show them' what? That they should play 80s million sellers instead of new music?

Darn I missed that, I need to tune in more. Or are you being sarcastic?

Lol, you can't pretend you don't know the way the station is going in terms of snubbing certain artists and trying to lose older listeners.

Okay I admit it, I recognise the fact Radio 1 are snubbing 'Don't You Want Me' for the completely ridiculous reason that it was released in 1981.

I'm really not a fan of ancient songs making comebacks. These songs have had their time, let the charts be full of new stuff.
