September 9, 201410 yr I had a look and it's coming up as purchased for me so I can't download it even though I've only just learnt about it  EDIT: Ohhhhh, it's in the iCloud for every iTunes customer. Edited September 9, 201410 yr by Rabbit Heart
September 9, 201410 yr Should have called it given they're massive friends with Apple. At least it actually was a big deal, as opposed to some of the names being mentioned.
September 9, 201410 yr Well, looking at the thread, none of us suspected them at all so job well done! I for one am glad to see this, Legends  Edited September 9, 201410 yr by Chez Wombat
September 20, 201410 yr Author http://i.minus.com/ibqKM3oQJuF0MO.png Industry insider says a big release is coming in the UK on November 24th. Speculation point to Take That who have been rumoured to release in November, or perhaps Adele if the tweet means a UK artist, and not just a UK release... Sorry to drag this murky thread back up again, but more speculating/false promises to get involved in :magic: wooop.
September 20, 201410 yr Aren't both of them meant to be releasing this year? I wonder if ADELE is going to drop her album like Beyoncé with no "hype" or singles
September 20, 201410 yr I could see either of them pulling off this iTunes exclusive off tbh. Take That (as much as it kills me) are ridiculously successful every time they release an album and Adele has gone on to be one of the biggest pop stars to have ever graced. The success of '21' was just colossal so it'd work for her and she doesn't really need to be dependant on whether a single is a hit or not. She'll shift the albums no matter what now. Also, I only know Adele is releasing this year due to being on forums like this, I think the general public are unaware she's due to release something pretty soon.
September 20, 201410 yr Aren't both of them meant to be releasing this year? I wonder if ADELE is going to drop her album like Beyoncé with no "hype" or singles Her name is not all caps!!1! Hasn't even been like that on iTunes for months. I don't think this will be Adele as I don't see why they'd specify 'in the UK' if it was. A big but UK-centric act (i.e. Take That) most likely.
September 20, 201410 yr Author I think this time round, it hasn't been specified that it is actually an iTunes exclusive release, it just mentions that a big release is coming then in some way or another. As it's 2 months away we could still get warning/singles/promo etc. i suppose. Either that or it is a top secret, drop-on-the-day type thing but it's not clear at the moment.
September 20, 201410 yr Can be no one other than Adele or Take That surely? Or Rihanna if it doesn't mean UK artist, but I'd imagine the rest of the world would get it before us :P
September 20, 201410 yr You would think that it would have to be Adele or Take That if it's a 'UK release'. But surely they would be MAD to limit their sales to just digital sales during the peak weeks of festive buying? The vast majority of Adele's and Take That's album sales are physical. They would not only piss off a lot of their fans by limiting it to iTunes, but they'd harm their sales, imo.
September 20, 201410 yr I'd be very surprised if its Adele or Take That tbh I know both acts are huge but I think as has been mentioned they are physical sellers so unless they release the physical and download at the same time I don't think it would do that great. Both artists have always released singles to build hype before they release an album so I think it would be a mistake but I guess we will have to wait and see...

The only way I can see it working as an iTunes exclusive is if it dropped on iTunes unannounced, then was rush released to shops within a few days. They just couldn't do a 100% surprise release of a physical album. It wouldn't be possible without leaking.
September 20, 201410 yr I would agree with Haus that this isn't necessarily an iTunes exclusive, since the tweet in question doesn't mention it as such. Nor does it specify a surprise release, so I imagine we'll find out ahead of time. In fact, I just lurked the Take That forum and came across this post: Same Pippa! Some guy posted a pic of him and Gary with Ben Winston and then tweeted this: @TommyGardner: @garybarlow @HowardDonald @OfficialMarkO only heard 4 of the new tracks, sounding great! Only 14 weeks to go! So 14 weeks would put the album release date as the 24th November, similar to Circus and BW, a week later than Progress :o
