Born and raised in Houston, Texas, she performed in various singing and dancing competitions as a child, and rose to fame in the late 1990s as lead singer of R&B girl-group Destiny's Child. Managed by her father Mathew Knowles, the group became one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time. Their hiatus saw the release of Knowles' debut album Dangerously in Love (2003), which established the singer as a viable solo artist worldwide; it sold 11 million copies, earned five Grammy Awards and featured the Billboard number one singles "Crazy in Love" and "Baby Boy". Following the disbandment of Destiny's Child in 2005, she released her second solo album B'Day (2006), which contained hits "Irreplaceable" and "Beautiful Liar". Knowles also ventured into acting, with a Golden Globe nominated performance in Dreamgirls (2006), and starring roles in The Pink Panther (2006) and Obsessed (2009). Her marriage to rapper Jay-Z and portrayal of Etta James in Cadillac Records (2008) influenced her third album I Am... Sasha Fierce (2008), which saw the birth of her alter-ego Sasha Fierce and earned a record-setting six Grammy Awards in 2010, including Song of the Year for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)". Knowles took a hiatus from music in 2010, took over management of her career and explored 1970s R&B, rock and roll, and African and funk styles. As a result, her fourth album, 4 (2011), deviated towards a more traditional R&B sound. A self-described "modern-day feminist", Knowles' songs are often characterized by themes of love, relationships and monogamy, as well as female sexuality and empowerment. On stage, her dynamic, highly-choreographed performances have led to critics hailing her as one of the best entertainers in contemporary pop music. Throughout a career spanning 15 years, she has won 17 Grammy Awards and sold over 118 million records as a solo artist and 60 million with Destiny's Child, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time. The Recording Industry Association of America recognized Knowles as the top certified artist in America during the 2000s decade. In 2009, Billboard named her the Top Radio Songs Artist of the Decade, the Top Female Artist of the 2000s and their Artist of the Millennium. In 2013, she was also included in Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in the world. - Wikipedia Chart history (Year peak title): Beyoncé 2002 07 Work It Out -OST- 2003 02 '03 Bonnie & Clyde (Jay-Z Feat. March 30, 201412 yr As brilliant as Drunk In Love is, I'm finally starting to tire of it due to Beyonce overexposure in the past few months, I literally have it in my head every day.
March 30, 201412 yr Katy B hasn't fallen since the midweeks then despite dropping a bit on iTunes. Minor victories .
March 30, 201412 yr I suppose 'If I Could Change Your Mind' will probably be the last single from 'Days Are Gone' but I still hold out hope for them to give 'My Song 5' a chance, as much as I adore the 5 singles they're all fairly similar while 'My Song 5' shows a different side to them, big highlight of the album for me. It would probably flop quite hard though so I don't really blame them  'Drunk In Love' back on the up! May just be a slow week or R1 playlisting could actually be helping.
March 30, 201412 yr The video for this is a must watch, I never thought Haim would ever be doing Destiny's Child-esque dance routines  Really good song too, great to see them get another top 40 hit. From watching loads of their interviews, they're definitely into stuff like that! Shameless fans of the 90s pop they grew up listening to, I love that about them. Any chance of Haim climbing even higher? I hope so.

Blige, Faith Evans, and Gwen Stefani, first gained notice with “Tell Me,” a 2006 single produced by DJ NG. A series of other features followed, including lead turns on Jelly Jams' “I Try,” Geeneus' “Good Life” (a cover of the late-'80s Inner City house classic), and the Count & Sinden's “Hold Me.” All of those tracks preceded the release of her first proper solo single. “Katy on a Mission,” produced by Benga, was issued on Rinse in 2010. The album On a Mission was released the following April and debuted at number two on the U.K. album chart. Nominated for the 2011 Mercury Prize, it was issued that September in the U.S. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2010 05 Katy On A Mission -1- 2010 16 Perfect Stranger (Magnetic Man Feat. I agree that the singles are fairly similar but that 'My Song 5' would probably flop. My choice would be 'Days Are Gone'.
March 30, 201412 yr Crying For No Reason never fails to give me chills  My mum liked her mother's day present of her album this morning, win-win as I can put it on iTunes as well. ;)

Born in Stockholm in 1989, Berg only started making music at the age of 18, writing and remixing tracks in his bedroom and then leaking them onto various blogs. Influenced by Daft Punk and Steve Angello, his melodic house sound gained a huge following, and led to support from Tiësto, who invited him to perform a weekly residency at Privilege in Ibiza, and Pete Tong, who released first single "Manman" through his Bedroom Bedlam label. After he remixed tracks for Little Boots, Robyn, and Dizzee Rascal, Berg's first mainstream release, the Ministry of Sound instrumental "Seek Bromance," became a huge hit across Europe and later in the U.K., thanks to a vocal version featuring Amanda Wilson. In 2012 he released the song "2 Million" after reaching that number of followers on Facebook, while his single "Le7els" and its accompanying video were nominated at that year's MTV Music Video Awards. Towards the end of 2012 he released his highly-anticipated collaboration single with Nicky Romero. "I Could Be The One" was a smash hit and was featured heavily on reality TV shows and radio play across Europe. In 2013, Avicii teamed up with Ericsson and creates the first "crowdsourced" track which enabled the producer to connect to fans and promote his brand. The single "3 Million" was released to celebrate the 3 millionth fan on his Facebook page. "Le7els" was nominated for the Best Dance Recording at the 2013 Grammys but lost out to Skrillex & Sirah's "Bangarang". Ahead of his debut album #TRUE, he released the single "Wake Me Up" in June 2013. Featuring Aloe Blacc, it reached the top of the UK Charts and confidently showed off his new musical direction. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi / iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2010 13 Seek Bromance (As Tim Berg) -NAS- 2010 46 My Feelings For You (Avicii And Sebastien Drums) -1- 2011 04 Collide (Leona Lewis/Avicii) 2011 04 Levels -NAS- 2012 22 Silhouettes (Avicii Feat.
