good to see it getting radio play now.... hopefully a nice bright video......... a few more remixes..... a cheaper CD single..... and Kylie fans to embrace it and give it a top 20

We could also choose to buy food and stuff to keep us alive. Not everyone has the spare money to buy every format of a single.

They're banking on the Pharrell association, whilst I agree the song is sloppy for a single release I can see their point if they're not going to get a hit anyway and they've got nothing to lose having the man of the moment being a part of it.

I really hopes that this becomes a hit or at least a top 10 hit cause it's a brilliant track much better than "Beautiful" that would have probably flopped I think Les Sex should be released after this and then maybe Feels So Good or Sexy Love

I never thought I would say this about Kylie but I really hope this flops badly. I think its an awful choice for next Single.

Its an awful choice i agree, its such a shame seeing a song like this being part of her cataologue of singles when bloody fantastic songs such as like a drug for example didnt. I actually think i hate i was gonna cancel far more than confide in me.

Why? :/ if it does flop badly then it is far less likely that anything will be released after it, plus it wont help the album out. Kind of a rotten attitude to have, no?

Great not even Kylie fans are supporting her these days....... no wonder she isn't selling as many songs.... tell you what guys, don't bother turning up to her concerts either............... there is not 'liking a song', and then there's 'wanting the era to flop' very sad.........

From a marketing point of view, I've realised releasing this makes perfect sense. They know nothing is likely to be a hit so what have they got to lose going with the song that is associated with the current man of the moment who is dominating the world?

 

There are much stronger songs I would choose too, but it's not as much of a WTF choice as when they released 'Better Than Today' from Aphrodite.

I think it is a perfect choice and many fans really like it.... it is likely to get better radio play than any other song on the album so lets see how it does. If you don't like it then fine, but don't keep saying it everywhere.... just wait until the single you do like has been released.

well just because I'm a fan, that doesn't mean I am going to support an artist if they release something that's so wrong. I can't stand I was gonna cancel. The only reason I hope this flops is to send a strong message to Kylie and her record company that she can do a lot better and its time to move on from this era to better things.

well what do you expect? If fans don't like the material, then why should we support it? I'm not going to the tour neither cos I don't like the album. I hope by this release flopping that there's some realisation by the record company that they've made a mistake with this whole album and will move on to something better.

It's hardly likely she'll be performing songs from 'Kiss Me Once' on the tour and nothing else, so I suppose that's your loss...

 

I'm not exactly the biggest fan of 'I Was Gonna Cancel', but if the Pharrell association pays off then it'll probably allow the campaign to continue and for the album's success to be rectified further; which is definitely necessary considering there are so many other songs that could make for great additions to the back-catalogue of singles.

I personally think the song is about a 4/10 at best and would probably rather a better song was a single, but since nothing will particularly be a huge success at this point releasing something with a big name attached can hardly be a mistake for her. There's a slight chance it might go, say, top 40 which in fact would be great. And if that means we get another single, then great - there are so many single worthy tracks left. I'm certainly not going to yearn for a flop because I don't like it.
