Why would *it* make it, when Shakira's far superior one didn't? I bet it won't sell as consistantly, and for so long, though.

 

FYI, 'Waka Waka' has sold more than 350k without ever going T20, and I wouldn't be surprised if it re-entered during this years world cup. :)

Because it's Pitbull and he is MUCH bigger than Shakira in the past years? Because it's a smash? Because no one know it's out? Because it doesn't have a clip yet? Or promo? Or Radio 1 play listed it?

I can't agree with Pitbull being bigger now then Shakira was in 2010 - she'd had 2 #1's in the previous 4 years, plus other hits - a very similar record to PB in recent years, in fact.

 

Ironically though, the one single they did together, totally flopped in the UK... :P

It could have worked out differently. Shakira was originally asked to do Nayer's parts on Give Me Everything, which is almost a million-seller now, but she turned it down apparently. She really chose the wrong song to feature on. :lol:

 

I'm not excited to hear Pitbull's song. It sounds terrible from the title.

Kiesza must be looking at high sales next week, the last track to chart that high on pre orders was Clean Bandit and they sold 160k so I think Hideaway could do 120-130k easily

 

Good to see Mr Probz going top 40 on pre orders, Im not sure if this will be number one next week or Calvin the week after, I think Kiesza could be number one for more than a week

I think it's unlikely, remember most of the other songs around it have multiple versions. It should be top 15 though and hopefully top 10 next week!

These both got a big boost around 12 hours ago (and his album pre-order is now at #2 only behind Now! 87) - I assume he performed somewhere last night? Glad to see 'Scream (Funk My Life Up)' having SOME longevity. Haven't heard 'Better Man' as there weren't any non-live versions on YouTube when I looked it up but it seems like it could possibly challenge for top 40 again this week.

Kiesza must be looking at high sales next week, the last track to chart that high on pre orders was Clean Bandit and they sold 160k so I think Hideaway could do 120-130k easily
