Yeah they're basically the successors to Pussycat Dolls, the same team behind them brought these girls together, I think they were originally even going to have the same name! :lol: this was in like 2011 though, maybe with a slightly different line-up but I don't rememeber, by the time they released anything they were G.R.L.

Been obsessing over them even more so lately, their performance on Sunrise was fantastic! :wub:

Simone has passed away :(

 

Close friends and family have posted about it on social media. Apparantly she commited suicide, but that isn't sure yet

This one has really hit me like a train. Horrible news.

I'm in an absolute state of shock, judging by recent interviews she seemed to be loving life. I do wonder if G.R.L will release any future songs now though.

I literally cannot believe this, I'm just praying that this is a selfish rumour. She was a little angel. :(

I am in utter shock. I would never have thought that Simone would have committed suicide! :( She was just incredible. R.I.P

I definitely thought this was a hoax when I first read about it but now that it has been confirmed I just don't know exactly what to say. It's so out of the blue and shocking. Just been getting into ugly heart the last month or so, so it's really big shame and right at the beginning of their career as a group too :(

 

Must've had something up with her that no one except friends and family knew about because otherwise I can't understand why she was taken so young :(

That's the thing with depression, you never know what someone is stuggling with no matter how they project themselves. See also Robin Williams.

I'm so shocked and upset, she was my favourite :( it's so saddening that someone so young passes away at the start of such a promising career, and utterly tragic :( RIP.

This is horrible news. She was so young and beautiful and definitely was the one who had the star quality in the group. Watching any of their music videos, Simone is one you are drawn to. I remember watching her on X Factor USA as well and thinking she had so much potential. 25 is way too young, I hope she rests in peace.

This is awful news, was absolutely shocked when I first heard it. Really hope that they'll post on Twitter saying it's not true. :cry:

What shocks me most is the fact that she always seemed so confident - when she was on X Factor, in the media after, as part of G.R.L etc. I guess you really do not know what goes on in someone's life behind closed doors. I don't think it's been confirmed as suicide yet but I notice depression has been mentioned a lot so I guess that's confirmation enough.

Same, the latest post from any of the band individually was yesterday, a picture from Lauren's Instagram, the band account tweeted things yesterday too but none today about Simone, I keep checking hoping it's a horrible rumour :(
