Yes, it's released next week. It's looking like the pre-order for 'Summer' will probably go top 40 before it's released on Sunday and that should be enough to get him to #1 I think. It will be close with the 2nd week sales of 'Waves' but I think Calvin should manage to beat 'Waves'.

That Ella Henderson track is surprisingly good! :o

I'm not sure why people are surprised that Ella's song is popular. She was easily at least the 2nd most popular act on that series, if not the most popular, even if she did only finish 6th (the votes on reality TV shows do not perfectly reflect popularity, James and Ella were pretty much the only 2 that anyone cared for).

^ This all happened 18 months ago though. If the song was a standard faceless mid-tempo or something, it's unlikely she'd be garnering much attention.

So true. The hype surrounding this song seems a different sort of hype to what was given to Diana Vickers for example. You can tell they've taken time to work with her and craft something big with her. Wouldn't surprise me if she has success somewhere in between Leona's debut and Alexandra Burke. BIG song.

I agree, it just seems to me that people who point out her low finish on the show don't realise that she was always a lot more popular than that indicated is all :P I always thought that she'd end up being a big star unless they totally bollocked up her material which it seems they haven't.

That Ella song is actually really good, if the buzz for it continues and it gets radio support it could actually be pretty big!
