I'm glad I wasn't anticipating anything amazing with this, because this really is basic, annoying and SHIT. She can do so much better. :/
I really like it!

Has she gone back to Cheryl Cole now again?

This girl is a last.fm nightmare. :drama:

Haha, I know right. I changed the last album to Cheryl Cole... glad I did now!

I read somewhere that she was only Cheryl for the last album because her surname didn't fit very well on the album cover, so I'm not shocked she's reverted back this time ~

Definitely disagree with this being called "basic", that word seems to be thrown around with regards to anything these days? :P

Not half as much as 'amazing' gets thrown around though :P.

Well this is kinda of like really bad...

She sounds good though on most parts.

The sax part is just so wrong on so many levels, out of tune, pitch is wrong, sounds like what a failure/awkwardness would sound like if it was a sound, etc.

I love her harmonies throughout the song, though.

Not as instant as FFTL, Call My Name or even Promise This BUT STILL AN ABSOLUTE GEM.

At 08:00 this morning I was a little WTF but after just one more listen after work I'M IN LOVE. The icon has returned with another smash.

I was expecting something something totally different but I'm pleasantly surprised by this funky, pop, Girls Aloud-esq sound.

Looking forward to the video and, of course, the BGT performance.

Well, I agree that it's not basic, they've clearly tried to throw something unique at it. And the saxophones are unique, despite being used in some really popular songs recently, because she decided to use someone who can't play the saxophone very well.

I pray we get an official Tinie-free version of the song in the single bundle, it would be perfect with Cheryl vocals on that bridge instead of the rap.

There was Tinie Tempah in there somewhere?! I GENUINELY haven't even noticed! I guess he IS pretty useless

Anyway, this is pretty terrible. But what else is new - this is a Cheryl Cole song :magic:

L M A O THE SAX BREAKDOWNS IN THIS SOUND LIKE

!!!!!!!!

DAEAD

I feel like the remixes are going to give me even more life than the original does

I randomly found one on Youtube, and it's probably fan made, but it's pretty amazing (as far as dance remixes go) :

I'm so, so disappointed! I was really hoping for another Call My Name or Fight For This Love. I think hyped this up far too much because I really WANT to like it...but I just don't...

It does sound basic to me as well, the sax bit (or trumpets as the lyric video suggests?) is truly disgusting, and her vocals sound a bit strained, not that she'll sing it live on TV, but I can't see her ever pulling it off vocally.

Tinie Tempah doesn't add anything to the song, I think this will go to number 1 regardless and she didn't need to add a rapper.

This is sounding so great on the radio at the moment! It definitely has the summer feeling going for it. Not quite sure how the general public will take it though. It will be interesting to see the reaction following the BGT performance.
I've only heard this once so this may be an ill-conceived comparison but the song reminds me of Tulisa's 'Young', i.e. kind of cheap sounding and has all the elements of an on-trend hit but the whole package, particularly the try-hard production and average vocals, falls flat and brings nothing new or interesting. It's like it's all show and there's nothing (great melody, lyrics etc.) beneath the surface. To me it's the kind of song that will be a hit by default as it's just good enough for people to take notice, helped immeasurably by the public profile of the artist. Overall though it's just uninspired and very much a product of its time that won't be remembered down the line.

The reaction this has got reminds me of Pixie Lott's 'Nasty' so far. :o

I do like this though, although after a few listens you can sort of hear how the saxophone bits were emulated on a keyboard. It's a catchy song!
