Posted May 5, 201412 yr Sunday Chart Predictions Predicting the 11/05 to 18/05 chart Can Sheezus resurrect Lily's career? The no major new entries this week means Mr Probz' 'Waves' is a contender for #1 for the third week running. The rest of the Top 4 should contain the same songs as last week whilst the only new entry likely to trouble the Top 10 is 'Wild Wild Love' - Pitbull's collaboration with American girl group G.R.L (which features Lauren Bennett of 'Party Rock Anthem' fame). Foxes' 'Holding on to Heaven' should be new to the Top 20 and latest singles from Paloma Faith and Pharrell look set for further climbs. Somewhat making up for the quiet singles chart is a reasonably busy album chart. Lily Allen's third album Sheezus is the biggest contender for #1, however with overall underwhelming success for Lily and the selling power of Paolo Nutini's album, we may see the first consecutive four weeker #1 album since Richard & Adam last summer. New entries to the Top 10 are likely to be hard rock band Black Stone Cherry, 'Left Outside Alone'-singer Anastacia and indie rock group The Horrors. Elsewhere, new entries may come from Natalie Merchant, Gruff Rhys, Ray LaMontagne and Roddy Frame. ======================================================= Please note new changes to the Sunday Chart Predictions thread topic: Tuesday/Thursday - There will be no mids from MW for Tuesday and Thursday. May 5, 201412 yr TBH, even the suggestion of Anastacia getting back into the T10 suggests this is a higher-profile release than I though.
May 5, 201412 yr Anastacia for no.1. Well, one can dream.... It would be nice for someone with actual talent to get it.
May 5, 201412 yr Author TBH, even the suggestion of Anastacia getting back into the T10 suggests this is a higher-profile release than I though. It's at #16 on Amazon and #17 on iTunes so it looks like it's likely to at least be there in the mids!
May 5, 201412 yr I wonder what Sheezus opening sales will be? It's currently 99p on Google Play - I'm expecting around 40,000?
May 5, 201412 yr It would be nice for someone with actual talent to get it. Good luck with that!!! Don't forget the talent that is Pitbull, how he's not had more number ones is beyond me (That was sarcasm just in case anyone Didnt realise!!)
May 5, 201412 yr Good luck with that!!! Don't forget the talent that is Pitbull, how he's not had more number ones is beyond me (That was sarcasm just in case anyone Didnt realise!!) I was referring to the album chart and taking a dig at the person who is likely to get it this week. ^_^
May 6, 201412 yr Gary Barlow's album should raise quite a bit on the back of the BBC TV show last night with James Cordon. I've noticed his single is creeping back up on iTunes :drama: Hopefully the single will trail off by the end of the week, or it might just clip the top 40.
May 6, 201412 yr I wonder what Sheezus opening sales will be? It's currently 99p on Google Play - I'm expecting around 40,000? 40,000 opening sales, really? I am expecting around 25,000 for the entire week so predict around 13,000 today. Maybe I will be wrong though. Edited May 6, 201412 yr by Davidson
May 6, 201412 yr ^ I think it'll be somewhere in between; 30-35k but I guess we'll have a better idea later on. Anyone know the Google Play 99p deal today, assuming there is one? I can't access the UK site <_<. Edited May 6, 201412 yr by Noahspike

Topping amazon chart and riding high on iTunes. Seems lots have bought into the Corden/Barlow lovefest.
May 6, 201412 yr As well as the albums mentioned I'll be looking out for Sarah McLachlan, Santana and Lykke Li
May 6, 201412 yr Anastacia-Elegance @anaelegance 2h The new album is at number 8 in the UK Official Midweek charts https://twitter.com/anaelegance
May 6, 201412 yr https://twitter.com/anaelegance Oh god, let's hope this holds onto the Top 20 =
May 6, 201412 yr I don't imagine it would fall out of the top 20 from #8, I don't think it stands a chance of staying top 10 though.
