Maybe if you send better songs (bring back Rochelle).

***As per opening post***

Good Evening Buzzjack! I'm Leslie Knope reporting to you live from Morpeth Cove.

Following the continued delay without contact from our hosts the Buzzjack Broadcasting Union Organising Committee have elected to seize the contest. In the interests of not causing further delay to the 64th Buzzjack Song Contest is has been unanimously decided by the BJBU-OC to scrap the Semi-Finals.

We thank all of you who have voted within the tight deadline and appreciate the effort that has gone into that. We will not be asking you to revote or to resubmit your votes. Instead all 52 entries will be compete for the 64th crown in a straight final. So congratulations on your Qualification!

Voting will open tomorrow night, although the thread will be up shortly, and will be open until 23:59 on Saturday the 17th of May. Results will be held promptly the following evening.

You will be asked to vote using the Expanded Points System (18pts/1Big-Final System) so please read the opening post of the final carefully.

There will be no penalties for non-voters in the Semi-Final but penalties will be applied as per usual to the final.

We thank you for your co-operation at this time. We also realise this is a short voting period for so many songs, but you will already be familiar with 50% of the entrants at the very least which is why we have not elected for a two week voting period as was previously standard for One Big Finals.

I don't think Lee can post in this forum without blacklisting somebody.

Guess what :o

Dear god I don't think I have time to listen to that many :drama:

Ooh, one big final, those days were before my time entirely it seems :o sounds fun.

And just for the hell of it - YAY I QUALIFIED :cheer:

If only Tritonal didn't suffer that completely unjust DNQ, I'd be sitting pretty on 9 in a row.

I will have no time to listen to 52 songs.

If you want points PM me and you will get it FIRST COME. FIRST SERVED.

See y'all next week xo.

Now for the quandaries of whether or not I should adjust the scores for the YTD to prevent rather substantial LXIV bias...

(yay exciting though)

Oh gosh this is mental. Maybe this was planned all along so Vulker didn't become the first host to DNQ?!?! :o

Looking forward to this actually, takes me back to the couple of contests when I first started that were OBF...

Congrats Singerpurear & Quintessa on your first qualifications :D

Don't forget Harmonica, Jukianië and Cumulonimbia :D It does rather detract from the moment for Singerpurear and Quintessa though as it feels like they've 'cheated' a bit, when I think they would likely have legitimately made it anyway. Maybe we'll still get the original semi-final results from Vülker later.

Congrats Singerpurear & Quintessa on your first qualifications :D

CHEERS! (Although the glory is somewhat tarnished), glad I kept the rates I did for my semi, so I only have to listen to other semi.

It won't be by a factor of much and the official table in the stats thread will be done as normal I'm sure, so I say 'points as they come'.

Besides, I need to get competitive around here.

Sheelah provided FSR Rontvia with the two highest scoring winners EVER in the one big final era! Good memories

It does mean we now have some very random finalist but it makes it more fun!
