May 9, 201411 yr I'm pissed off about the Sweden favoritism - it's ridiculous! Hungary got the best placing.
May 9, 201411 yr But regardless - uk is a good closing number and hopefully people haven't fallen asleep or gone to make a cup of tea when the last song is on
May 9, 201411 yr Well, if someone's fallen asleep by the UK then they probably aren't going to be voting anyway.
May 9, 201411 yr I still believe Malta are going to dark horse this! OMG. I do hope we can get winner out of being last! We have such a strong and catchy enough song. I hope we can do this!
May 9, 201411 yr ANALYSIS: 01 Ukraine: what an opener *.* top ten but I can't see it going much further. 02 Belarus: yeah, this is dead in the water. 03 Azerbaijan: I really wouldn't be surprised if this saw Azerbaijan miss the top ten for the first time at all. 04 Iceland: remember Krista last year? no, no one does. 05 Norway: this isn't going anywhere anymore either... 06 Romania: 07 Armenia: better than it looks. 7th is the best performing of all the slots in the first ten statistically, but I really do wonder if a track like this can do much damage from so early on. Still top ten I think, but it'll have a fight on its hands going top three. 08 Montenegro: the vote this has will be sticking with it and would've stuck with it wherever it ended up. It's playing to a niche nothing else in here even touches (with the vaguest possible exception for Slovenia), so if you're after a smart bet and you've got a tenner begging, this is roughly 7/1 to go top ten on Betfair. 09 Poland 10 Greece: having this and Poland next to each other helps neither, but I have a feeling Greece will come out of this bout a little better. 11 Austria: before commercial break. this is very, very dangerous. 12 Germany: after commercial break. don't be surprised if this gets points from Switzerland, Austria and Poland and nowhere else. 13 Sweden: not actually as stunningly placed as the hysterics would have you think, though it'll very obviously do well. 14 France 15 Russia 16 Italy: interestingly, 16th is by far the worst performing slot in the second half this century. possibly because it tends to go before 17th, the average modal winning slot in the last 10 years (tinkara 'quietly confident'), but things seem to be lining up for Italy's first top ten miss since their return. 17 Slovenia 18 Finland: we're essentially playing guitar hopscotch from this point onwards. 19 Spain 20 Switzerland 21 Hungary: this is the first properly contemporary pop song since France by this stage (or Greece if you want something with chart potential), which could make this stick in the mind a little more than it may have done otherwise - especially when paired with this majestic performing slot. It hasn't set the charts alight at all so far so I'm doubtful it's a winner, but in a narrow year performing slot and context could make all the difference 22 Malta: this is very unlucky to be so near Calm After The Storm, which I imagine will be batting for a lot of the same voters. 23 Denmark: this sticks out like nobody's business. but then, so did Romania last year 24 The Netherlands: see Malta 25 San Marino: it's a bit like giving someone in a wheelchair a lovely pair of shoes, isn't it? 26 United Kingdom: still, let's let Val have it. entrée to la grande belle mollé *.* There hasn't been a favourite on last for a long time. I think people will be paying attention to this one, which is more than can be said for Only Love Survives
May 9, 201411 yr The Netherlands so close to Malta :( I don't know what to think about this order Edited May 9, 201411 yr by *Tim
May 9, 201411 yr http://static.fjcdn.com/comments/Uh%20same%20_cfcdb65ea56e7230a6e0d69caa4e630f.jpg I hope coming last is good for the UK, but I don't know if people would have already made up their mind about who they're voting for by then.
May 9, 201411 yr Yeah, I'm of mixed opinion but I don't think it's actually that bad. When we all see her performing in last, we're thinking "shit, that's not where people usually win", but let's face it, Only Teardrops/Euphoria the likes, would almost certainly have won if they performed last, they just got shoved into a lucky 17th-20th sort of spot. I think it could be a good thing, god knows people are gonna remember it, as Tirren says, not many favourites have performed there before, so we don't have a huge amount to base it on, but I think I'm pretty happy with it.
May 9, 201411 yr Infact, I'm just imagining the POWER TO THE PEOPLE closing off the whole thing and it makes me feel so excited. It could be incredible.
May 9, 201411 yr I actually think that we have the kind of song that will benefit from being the last one. If it's performed well then she will slay all.

May 9, 201411 yr Having woken up and not being half asleep whilst grumpily typing (ha) I do think generally it is the best song to close the show as it is so anthemic and DR made the right decision from a show point of view... From a chance to win point of view I'm just a little worried... I'm still a little annoyed how blatant they are being with Sweden too. I think i prefer random draws to make this whole thing fair. I think Hungary / Sweden are huge threats - Austria too. I'm not sure about Armenia anymore. The internet trolls seem to have gone and it's falling in the odds, the performance was shit in the semi and it's first half so surely it can't win. Edited May 9, 201411 yr by Jack89
May 9, 201411 yr Armenia are falling away going by the betting, i never saw the full of appeal of the song and could not understand why it was heavily tipped to win for so long. I do believe, the winner is either Austria, The Netherlands, UK, Hungary or Sweden and i believe that will be the top 5 tomorrow night. Hopefully the lovely Ruth Lorenzo can at the least manage a top 10 placing as i think her song is just sublime.
May 9, 201411 yr Didn't notice this, UK last hmm, might not be too much of a bad thing. Is 11th place bad for Austria? hope she does well!

May 9, 201411 yr I dont see much in the Swedish entry this year but there is a buzz about it. I dont know if i fully believe where you perform truly helps in the voting. A good song with wide appeal will pick up votes regardless. Sweden usually by own taste have good entries but they fall short this year, Iceland and Denmark are my favourite Scandinavian entries this year. Azerbaijan always end with good results and they usually have strong entries but this year is bland, boring and forgettable, that said, i am interested to see will the votes reflect it as judging by bookies Azerbaijan dont stand a chance of coming top 10. I honestly feel Molly could bring Eurovision back to the UK this year.
May 9, 201411 yr UK last :o never expected that, I really thought Ukraine might have a chance of winning, but since they are performing first, the track will be forgotten by the end of the show, Romania seems to be stuck in the early stage, hope they still get a decent finishing. I just don't get the buzz around Sweden's entry, its alright but its not shouting at me to win. As far as I'm concerned with Austria, I can take it or leave it. Malta, Slovenia, The Netherlands and the UK have a good chance of winning.
May 9, 201411 yr I will sell all of my possessions and move to Slovenia if they win. She had a tough enough time getting through the semis!
