Imagine if Lettice from BGT was a housemate! That's all I was thinking when I saw her being interviewed earlier. A shame she's on the 'wrong' show :(. She'd be like a better Caroline - posh/eccentric/hilarious but without the nasty streak (presumably).

Seems so strange that this is back on Thursday :o I'm excited for it to dominate my summer once more!

Just had a thought, I wonder if the theme of game-players is due to the popularity of Dexter and, to a lesser extent, Aaron from BB12? I'm interested to see the characters that are put in and whether the theme will work. The premise sounds good but, with Channel 5, they always do and it never seems to be executed to the full potential!

Exactly. Lower your expectations, people. It will make inevitable disappointment easier to get through.
I was not disappointed by last series at all, it was one of the best! I really loved the celebrity edition too, even if the public loved mysogynistic cuntholes.
I cannot remember who won last year :( All I remember is Dexter placing third oops

I agree the last civilian series was one of the best, even with a dull as hell winner. There weren't that many brilliant housemates, of course there was Queen Gina and I loved charlie, but there were so many amazing moments and I just really enjoyed it all. The last celebrity series was probably the worst since I started watching BB though, absolutely horrific top 3 and I only really liked Luisa, Liz and Sam, the latter of whom of course had little to no screentime most episodes...

The new house looks amazing

Oh yes, last series was one of the best ever due to the perfect selection of housemates and some twists (even if recycled or ill-thought through) to help spice it up.

The house looks alright in parts - not a huge fan of the kitchen though!

OMFG it's *just* hit me earlier today how excited i am for this. Highlight of my tv-ing year every single time and ready to sacrifice my sweat, tears, body, time and LIFE for the cause.

BRING IT ALL ON

Last year was the first time I watched a civilian Big Brother (usually I had just watched the celebrity version) and it was fantastic, so I will be tuning in again this year. This series has a lot to live up to! :o
The thing that put me off mainly was the length of the civilian series, I couldn't imagine watching something every night for 2 or 3 months whereas Celebrity Big Brother was the perfect length at 3 weeks or so. However now I've tried it once and really enjoyed it, I wish I'd watched the other series too!

Funny as I've always thought three weeks is too short and I haven't really been interested in the last few celebrity versions. You only really get to know the housemates' true characters when they've been worn down after weeks of nominations, evictions, pressure, manipulation, game-playing etc. And I find it fascinating to see the changing relationships and dynamics that can only really take place over a longer time span.

Looking forward to this series as last year was very entertaining. Loved Hazel (and not just because she's hot and Irish).

Yeh, the celeb series never really excites me that much. I still watch it all but I MUCH prefer the civilian series.
