Eurovision ratings were up 1.5m on the year before. The bad weather and BGT not clashing with it at all seems to have really helped, which probably explains the increase in sales this year.

I'd imagine the hype for Molly also helped viewing figures - I have a feeling the letdown of her only coming 17th might negatively impact viewing figures next year though by the same token, unless we can get hype going for our next entry as well (depends on how the UK Eurovision organising people react to Molly's underperformance, the fear being they'll try sending someone old and irrelevant again).

It's probably just me, but I feel Faith Evans is even more of a blast from the past than Twista is (as in she was from further back)!

Already has. It's #37.

Wow. That's amazing! Britain's Got Talent I assume? So happy as it's one of my favourite songs! what a lovely boost.
Delighted at three Eurovision entries doing so well, Conchita's massively picked up since last night, which is great to see. I'll never like a song like The Common Linnets as I'll never care for country but nice to see a Eurovision entry doing so well anyway. It seems to have really impacted!
I think one reason why the Eurovision songs are doing so well this year is that they are all available from the compilation for the first time, there are no 'album only' songs. Also last year there were 2 versions of the Eurovision album I think which also limited the impact of the 2013 songs on the chart due to multiple versions charting lower.
It is a great song but can we really complain it flopped in Eurovision if it's flopped in the charts too?

Considering it could be the best chart position for a UK entry since SCOOCH of all people, yes.

Except it's not top 40 on itunes?

Love the song, really should've done better.

We are talking about Molly here?

She has two entries Top 40:

15. Molly - Children of the Universe

27. Molly - Children of the Universe (Eurovision 2014 - United Kingdom)
