Sam may not quite reach 100k then - Rita had 3k more at this stage.

I think he can still do it, though it will be on similar sales to Calvin Harris of around 100-102k maybe

So pleased Sam Smith is on course for #1 - this song is infinitely better than 'Money on my Mind'
how the f*** is Afrojack top 10? that's strangely high considering it didn't even go top 20 on iTunes. I guess it'll safely go top 20 officially then.

Well the higest version went as high as No. 18 on itunes and his sunday sales must have been quite high because of the pre-orders. Currently on itunes the song is at No. 23+211+440+504. The David Guetta remix + the album versions might keep it Top 15 until sunday :)

I assume Kylie has plummeted out of the top 100

Incredible album sales for Coldplay!
So another 23k for coldplay yesterday - so should get 170-180k by the weeks end if it keeps that up - near enough what i predicted|!

Very good to see Clean Bandit heading for the top 5, excited for that album!

another shit Afrojack single set to outpeak 'Take Over Control' then, fun.

First time hearing Afrojack, Clean Bandit and Fuse ODG (another week of releases I was too lazy to keep up with). 'Ten Feet Tall' sounded quite good, definitely an improvement from Afrojack's last 2 singles (even after 'The Spark' grew on me) but not a patch on 'Take Over Control' still. Clean Bandit's song is quite good but it's really disappointing to see them so quickly eroding from an exciting and different sounding act to releasing this song that could really be by anyone. LOVING Fuse's song on first listen, I just can't bring myself to dislike anything of his, he's just so... enthusiastic. And his iconic phrases at the end of the song *.* Not to even mention Sean Paul's ever-iconic presence as well. Tina-na-na-na-na-na ~
Great sales for Coldplay's album, it could actually crack 200k or come 10k short, its the start of the half term after Friday, Saturday will surely give the album a sales boost.

It seems ~170k is in the bag for this week, so perhaps if there's any notable promotion at the end of the week, they could be in for a chance of making 200k.

Oh and the 2nd day sales are better than I thought for 'Ghost Stories', perhaps it will be on course for 170k+. Still not gonna get my hopes up too much though ~

Shame it isn't 99p on Google Play as that could definitely have given it a push to 200k

I agree. The drop-off wasn't as severe as I was expecting and it seems Vidcapper (and others :P) was right with 200k still being in contention. The Google Play deal should help keep sales at about the same level, if not more, for the update tomorrow and Big Weekend buzz together with the general weekend boost could give them about 30k on Saturday.

Oh of course, it's Radio 1's Big Weekend this weekend! That will definitely give a boost for Coldplay's sales this week so 200k is certainly possible!

That boost should continue next week too and they have Graham Norton on that week's Friday, perhaps another 100k+ for their second week sales.

Great sales for Coldplay. It's a great album too, so very well deserved. :)

Not that it matters particularly, but Sam still isn't quite on course for 100k (Calvin had 61k at this stage and scraped it, Rita had 62.9k). Anyone know if he has promo this week?
Didnt know they had Graham Norton on friday week - brillant could get very good 2nd week sales too - and maybe prevent Sam Smith from being No1?!
