Just an observation - the layout of these competitions have been amazing this year. The BB Frat House, POV Competition, Battle of the Block.. All stellar layouts. The design team really deserves a kudos. I guess it pays to not have any smokers this year, they can essentially lock everyone in the house for hours on end.

 

However the competitions itself are a little weak, here.. Run on this beam. Watch this screen. Balance these balls. But those have always been real standard BB Competitions.

Apparently Zach is safe this week, he may have one vote to evict and that's it. I had a sigh of relief with that one as he was one of my picks in the pool. Apparently Donny has been playing a good game the last few days, him and Derrick are thinking Frankie is a threat - which is correct (even though they're in that America's Alliance nonsense). Hopefully Devin is out next week, he's f***ed up his game royally. Not said we're losing Paola this week, I'll say that much.

Really? Good to hear! I can remember a fair amount of them smoking last year (McCrae, Amanda, Jessie etc.), so I'm surprised :lol:

 

I liked how they included a space themed task as an extra bit of promo for their new drama, more subtle than the Divergent task on BB Canada. :P

 

 

Happy to hear that Zach *should* be safe, I'd much rather sacrifice Paola after what we've seen so far. Nice little cliffhanger they left us on last night, I hope the aftermath of the veto meeting isn't hyped too much.

BB USA generally isn't about who they are as people at all though. He's an awful game player, reveals everything he's ever done about 5 minutes after he does it, blows up on people when they disagree with him or actually make valid points that he just can't see any truth in at all (when he's the only one that can't see), is under the impression he's the alpha-male and is dominating the game when everybody wants him gone. He's just a delusional piece of shit.

Dont get me wrong, I dont like him at all and he is easily my least favourite in there but I wouldnt say he is the worst there have ever been. I guess if you are just going for a gameplay sort of viewpoint, then yeah I can understand that. I always find Aaryn, Amanda & GinaMaries actions were excused far too lightly and I will never understand why either.

I do think personality comes into it - a large part of Big Brother is the social game people play. Aaryn, GM and Amanda didn't have very good social games at all because of the comments they made, hence why they were affected in the game (well, GM aside, but she was quite lucky that she was otherwise very quiet on the game front).

 

Devin is a really bad gameplayer though and I'm pretty sure he'll end up out the door next week. Backdoor please, though! Don't need him winning Battle of the Block or the veto.

Partly, yes, but I have NO doubt in the fact that it was also boosted by the fact that she was so vile to most people there also. If she got on with people, she might have made it further?

So happy Nicole is one of the HoHs <3 Derrick seems like a reasonable man so I think the power is definitely in the right hands. Hayden and Christine are definitely safe this week then :D PERFECT outcome for either of them. At this rate Christine is going to sail through to the final seeing all of her alliances' members keep winning HoH comps :lol:

 

Jocasta and Victoria are so up this week but I have absolutely no idea who Nicole is going to nominate except maybe for Devin because he's the clear target and people won't be taken by her decision. That is if Derrick doesn't do it first, which I think he won't because he doesn't really want to draw much attention to himself at this stage, plus he's in the bomb squad.

 

FORGET EVERYTHING I SAID BEFORE. I LOVE THIS GAME. Last year's edition seemed like a nightmare though with all the racism and homophobia but if you get a great bunch of HGs who don't do insults and aren't overly bitchy in the mean girls evil way, the game is really great!

He should really be backdoored by whoever wins veto if the entire house is against him. Although if the entire house is against him there are probably better targets. Backdooring Devin is definitely the way to go because a LOT might happen between initial noms and veto meeting!

 

Of course people would have outside the alliance deals! I don't think Nicole and Hayden could hold it against her. If anything it HELPS them as she might defend both of them, plus she's been laying low in there doing what I assumed was just WAITING until that big ass alliance eventually collapses on its ass and Hayden/Christine/Nicole will have more power than the rest of them. Plus it SHOWS that Christine has much more dedication to her ~untitled~ alliance than bomb squad.

Best not to put Devin up at this point. Wait until Veto and put him up after that.

But yes, hopefully this is Devin's week to go.

Not sure about the Nicole HOH. I think she could have done well coasting it a few more weeks. It will be interesting to see who she puts up.

What a great week! Watching Brittany and Zach both getting the target off their back was much more exciting than last week being unanimous and all. Hopefully this bodes well for the rest of the season as it's off to such a strong start. Seems like a really good mix of houseguests, even with two of the best personalities already evicted :'( .

 

Amber is by far my favorite, hope she sticks around. Can Victoria please come out of hiding!? Also, seeing the same competitions recycled year after year is so tiring, thank goodness for battle of the block :lol:
