It'll be interesting to see what Ed's pre-order manages when he performs later in the week, I think he'll go top 30 as well!

He's performing tommorow apparently and he's currently #85 so I think top 25 is about right. I'm sure his performance will go down well.

Yay for Ella and especially Stay  CLASSIC!

Great for "Stay" looking like it'll go top 40. Its' sales are annoyingly low for an 8 week UK #1, even though it was released in the sales doldrum period of 1992.

Pre-ordered the fantastic its by the amazing Ella Henderson. What a song and performance tonight

Also west coast finally arrived a couple of days ago after pre-ordering it a month ago

I think there's an outside chance of Sam Smith actually holding onto #1 now as he seems to be catching up already - although, it's also possible that Secondcity have already built up an insurmountable lead anyway (like DVBBS/5SOS/Calvin). Guess we'll find out about that tomorrow.

I think Second City's pre orders will be huge it was top 100 for what seemed like an age but the song itself has been held back for a ridiculously long time in the same vein as Keisza. Think its sales could be 130k but with a massive week on week sales dip!

 11. Beating Heart - Ellie Goulding

Surprised this is holding up better than Twin Atlantic/Lana Del Rey (it could feasibly still even go top 10 although I expect it'll start to drop before that happens).

Incidentally Lana has opened yet another confusing can of instant grat worms by releasing both 'West Coast' and another track as an instant grat. This will mean either the other song is ineligible to chart or some of the sales of 'West Coast' will be excluded. But really, what was the point of putting 'West Coast' up as an instant grat anyway? Frustratingly stupid move.

Ella's Ghost will slay on pre-orders after her BGT performance tonight.

It is Bleeding Love part II but that's no bad thing!

I can't stop listening to it.

Told ya!

I thought West Coast was an official single release? Either way, I refuse to accept 'instant grat' singles, as I believe it is a practice that should not be encouraged.

I know :( It sold 490k by the end of '92 (the 4th biggest seller of the year) and had sold over 600,000 by early 2012 at least. I saw some estimated total sales for it at the end of last year around the 690k mark so it will hopefully be pass the 700k mark by now at least.

Sam smith is almost 98% when Combined and it's only Tuesday... maybe he can make it? I don't think so cuz the sales will be low this week and the gap they built gonna be enough for them I guess.

Beating Heart is now 59p.

 #32 Ella Henderson - Ghost (pre-order) -- what a flop

Totally amazed by Ellie Goulding and I don't even know how that is happening, I really thought it'd be about 20 places lower.

That's what you get for having the name 'Ellie Goulding' tagged in front of a song nowadays. Yes, she really is that famous

I would welcome Secondcity missing #1, I have liked the majority of the dance hits this year but this one I really cannot see the appeal of. :(

Well Sam Smith his performing his #1 single sometime during an ad break on Channel 4

Sam Smith to sing in live performance during Channel 4 ad break: Brit award winner will perform number one sin... http://bit.ly/1nu32IM

Maybe this will give him the extra push (10:45 Friday 30th)

I'm with you regarding Secondcity, I don't find it as good as the other dance singles.
