Wasted is a bit better than Red Lights (not saying much), but I'm thankful it isn't heading for #1, since Ghost is a MUCH better song imo. (though if it's any consolidation, i think Wasted will easily make the top 3 next wk)

 

I actually think 'Wasted' is one of his weakest songs to date, I would just love anything to prevent 'Ghost' going to No.1 to be honest.

 

I actually really liked 'Red Lights', though I still prefer his earlier material ('Just Be', 'Love Comes Again' and 'Barbers Adagio For Strings', in which I like the William Orbit original just as equally). :heart:

'Wasted' is most likely climbing due to being heavily featured in one of the biggest comedy movies of the year, '22 Jump Street' which is out today!

That Tiësto track is foul, I can't believe it's looking to actually do well.

I don't get why some of these producers who used to be respectable need to make music like this to try and gain commercial success. I mean, they're clearly doing it for the money but it's not as if they need it as they get paid absolutely billions each year for their DJ-ing ventures.

 

I certainly don't think he's made these tracks for the new album out of passion for music anyway.

I 100% agree. It makes no sense to me at all.

 

It's so funny how unknown producers can get to #1 with less mainstream songs, then we've got really famous DJs like Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren releasing dance-pop music to try and get a low top 10 hit. I would have thought it'd be the other way around.
