And you need to get out more if you actually take insults against your fave artists THIS seriously. Or feel you need to take some sort of moral high ground. People can give out their opinions if they wish to. Most of the nasty comments, I'm sure, are made in jest and are just hyperbole. Do you really think there are members here strutting around their house thinking 'omg I hate Jessie j' 24/7? Do you honestly believe that people are putting effort into their dislike of her rather than just making flippant remarks?

Tbh the only person who should be bothered is Jessie and if she's reading this then SHE needs to get out more.

I am sorry, comments that insinuate that Jessie is somewhat below people like pedophiles, no matter how 'flippant' are just unnecessary and I just can't understand for what reason comments like that need to be said.

You probably think this is just me sticking up for an artist I like and in part you are right, but I just have never understood how anyone can truly hate someone (any celeb for that matter) they know nothing about quite that much, apart from how they come across on the media etc. unless they have done something extremely disgusting. It just seems like a waste of energy to me.

1) I don't need to know her personally to dislike her. There are surely celebrities out there you dislike.

2) I don't hate her, I dislike her.

3) I don't waste energy on it, I thought that was already explained.

As for the pedophile comment, you clearly knew it was meant in jest but the truth of it is they wouldn't be interested in her given that she isn't a child.

I agree completely...it's fair enough to not like someone's music, but some of the comments over the last page really aren't necessary.

Like you say, it's a waste of energy! I'll never quite understand why people would go into a thread just to spout unwanted hatred. If you dislike an artist that much, why give them the time of day at all? Haha.

If people only posted what was necessary, there wouldn't be any threads about Jessie J.
Lighten up already...

Exactly - for both parties! Please understand others' opinions - some people are fans of Jessie J, some are not. Little flippant remarks are part of the humour of this site and it was clear that T Boy's comments were not serious, but we also don't need too many of those :P

BURN HER
BURN HER

OMG, stop wasting energy on hating someone you know nothing about!!!!1!-@&8

i showed my mum the album cover and her face was a look of utter horror, before 2 minutes of 'look at her knees. her KNEES!'

I completely understand that some people aren't fans of Jessie, I actually to some extent understand comments about her being egotistical and narcissistic made over the last couple of pages, hence why I would never make a thing out of it. I am also not completely oblivious that some of the comments weren't entirely serious but no matter how funny a joke may be, when repeated constantly (or similar jokes about how ugly someone is and how the scum of the world wouldn't go near them etc. etc.) it becomes tiring, no matter what the joke is. I just feel when it's so personal it brings down the tone of the discussion.

Anyhow, I am going to leave it now because I am sure I will just be called a miserable stan who can't take any criticism for an artist I like, blah blah blah.

It wasn't about her being ugly. She isn't, just for the record.
she isn't particularly attractive either, nor does she have a likeable personality but that hasn't had any impact on her star, which is something to admire in a strange way

You make a valid point and you've clearly shown that you're tolerant of criticism towards Jessie (just not the overly personal kind) so I wouldn't worry about being perceived as a miserable stan etc.

Really? I would attribute her second era decline to the exposure of her *personality* on The Voice in addition to 'It's My Party' and general overexposure/overhyping during her debut campaign.

'Bang Bang' may be returning her to relevance currently but I can't see her sustaining it for long.

i would put her second era failings down to the quality of the music really not being there. her debut tunes spoke to many for whatever reasons and whilst none of it is has ever been particularly good, the second album really was bloody terrible.

and i don't see her maintaining any momentum when you release a lead single so flash in the pan and with your mast tied heavily to the star power of two other american acts.

I'd agree that the music was probably the primary issue but her stint on the Voice put an awful lot of people off her as a person.

I wouldn't mind the cover half of much if she was wearing more clothing. The "I'm basically wearing my underwear" look should have started and finished with the 'Wild' video.

Yes I hated the 'I'm a woman so I can relate to you so pick me' thing she did every time she wanted a female contestant.

BURN HER

 Made me laugh

To be honest, the artwork just reminds me of her second era and the title, again, seems very uninspired/cheesy. It seems a little obvious that she's taken the title from a song intended for track listing on the album. If you are going to do that then at least pick a less cringy title
