Posted June 16, 201412 yr Sunday Chart Predictions Predicting the 22/06 to 28/06 chart http://i57.tinypic.com/34jalw2.jpg http://i61.tinypic.com/2yl1sig.jpg http://i62.tinypic.com/o91qwy.jpg http://i61.tinypic.com/vxggnt.jpg http://i57.tinypic.com/2mes9wi.jpg Don't stop a consecutive 2 week #1 or I'll turn ultra violent!! After 18 weeks of having a different #1 each week, it looks like that run may soon be over as Ella Henderson seems like she could have enough power to remain at #1. However, it's perhaps not time to start getting hopes up just yet as 5 Seconds of Summer's new single 'Don't Stop' looks set to be a big new entry this week, and we should never underestimate the power of multi-buying multiple copies by their keen fanbase. Also heading for the Top 10 this week is George Ezra - who came 5th on BBC's Sound of...2014 - with 'Budapest' and electronic duo Gorgon City's follow up to 'Ready for Your Love', 'Here for You'. Elsewhere in the charts, Demi Lovato's 'Neon Lights' and The Kooks' 'Around Town' should enter and the Football songs may hang around another week. The increase of sales in the Top 10 albums may continue to rise this week as two more big names are releasing this week - the main contender for #1 being Lana Del Rey who follows up her 2012 debut Born to Die with Ultraviolence whilst Linkin Park's 6th studio album The Hunting Party should enter at #2. Coldplay and Sam Smith are still selling strongly so they should complete the Top 5 along side last week's #1 by Kasabian. New entries to the chart elsewhere should include Tiesto, Klaxons, Jennifer Lopez and Willie Nelson. ======================================================= Please note new changes to the Sunday Chart Predictions thread topic: Tuesday/Thursday - There will be no mids from MW for Tuesday and Thursday, however they may come from other sources - this is not always guaranteed. June 16, 201412 yr COME ON QUEEN LANA       Just finished listening to Ultraviolence on my IPod and it is one of the best albums of the last few years
June 16, 201412 yr I am hoping Ella stays at #1 and Demi can hopefully chart in the upper section of the top 20
June 16, 201412 yr Author COME ON QUEEN LANA       Just finished listening to Ultraviolence on my IPod and it is one of the best albums of the last few years I finished listening on Spotify not so long ago, it's much more stripped back than Born to Die, kind of dreamy (I suppose people who dislike Lana's music would say it was more boring and slow) but I can see myself getting into it more and more after each listen. I can actually remember not liking Born to Die at all at first and then after a few months I loved it! Definitely one of my favourite albums; I'll usually stick it on if I'm feeling down.
June 17, 201412 yr Born to die and Ultraviolence feel like two completely different albums to me so it's hard to make a comparison between the two. Born to die was much more poppy and instant, but I find Ultraviolent a much more beautiful collection of songs overall (Old money is absolutely brilliant)
June 17, 201412 yr Ella's album version of Ghost climbing to #102! This is beginning to look good for her....
June 17, 201412 yr It is really starting to look positive for a 2nd week for Ella. Due to complete lack of interest i believe Jennifer Lopez will struggle to make the top 30 albums.
June 17, 201412 yr yeah, I don't think she'll manage it until late into the week, but I'm Team Ella too! Don't Stop is about as mediocre a song as you can get. 5SOS' free world cup song is actually so much better!
June 17, 201412 yr I think 5SoS will be #1 on the first set of mids, the #1 could change tomorrow, looks like Ella could break the #1 weekly curse. yahhhhh Looking good for Becky Hill next week :D if Ella's sales drop quite a bit
June 17, 201412 yr COME ON QUEEN LANA       Just finished listening to Ultraviolence on my IPod and it is one of the best albums of the last few years Agreed - second only to Born To Die.
June 17, 201412 yr And Ella's album version of Ghost now up to #88... Gonna be interesting to see the sales update on what the 5sos lead is...
June 17, 201412 yr Followed by Dan's New Music News TomThorogood @TomThorogood 51s Bloody hell. J.Lo's album is at No.39 on midweeks. 736 sales. Lana DR over 20,000 at No.1 https://twitter.com/TomThorogood Ha @ J.lo
June 17, 201412 yr https://twitter.com/TomThorogood Ha @ J.lo 20K for Lana? I guess a little bit disappointing but I guess 55K for the week or something? She will do better over the world... this time the Us is not with her even though UV is perfection but it's too dark and without any hits or so.
June 17, 201412 yr I knew Lana would do about 60k or so all along. That's SO bad for J-Lo, even worse than Brave. It'll inevitably miss the top 40 on Sunday too.
