The lead 5SOS is 20k less than it was at this point for She Looks So Perfect. There is a much stronger number 2 this time, and the fact Ella has managed those sales without any pre-orders is quite promising. 5SOS are declining faster than last time and could, this time, actually be out of the top 10 by Sunday. However, 30k is still a decent lead, so number 1 is wide open at this point I'd say!

Most unpredictable chart battle of the year so far I'd say!

I said to myself that Ella would be able to catch up a 35k lead (I think she will be able to sell 7k a day more than 5 Seconds of Summer on average) so with her being less than 29k behind, I think she'll be able to do it although it will be very close.

I don't think she will - 20k catch-up perhaps, but not 30k...

At last we have a race on our hands! For so long now the number 1 has been set in stone week after week but for once there's a shade of uncertainty this time. The last interesting race for number 1 I can remember was Clean Bandit Vs Zedd and even that didn't turn out to be as close as I was expecting...
Ella has a second version of Ghost on iTunes, its #80, its slowly creeping up, mind you I don't think its going to help much, I think Ella could scrape above them, we should get a better picture by Thursday mids.

Well if 5SOS sell roughly 6k a day (like they did with SLSP after the major pre-orders/multi-buying initial sales) and Ella manages to keep selling as she is, it'll be very close. Remember Ella has managed those sales with no pre-orders/physicals etc.

Interesting first update. Fantastic to see The Kooks at #32 with "Around Town", hoping it'll cling on for a T40 placing. Tad disappointed with Klaxons' album position, I was thinking #11-15, given that their second album still managed a T10 placing.

I would love to 5SOS beaten, regardless who by, but I don't want to get my hopes up.

Hoping The Kooks can remain top 40, they're in the high 30's when removing all of Ed's instant grats
Can I have a Little Mix and Raleigh update please :D

LM #11

Raleigh #35

Its not impossible but 30,000 is a large amount for Ella to close in on. John Legend remaining top 10 is ace, i want him to stay there. Little Mix are holding up very well and should manage a top 15 position officially this week. I want want want The Kooks to stay top 40, 2 top 40 hits for this era would be a brilliant result for them, unlike the poor Klaxons whose album will probably now miss the top 30 on the official chart.

For Sunday I predict:

#1 Ella Henderson 89-92k

#2 5 Seconds of Summer 85-88k

Based on current sales strength and amount already sold. It'll be close, but I think Ella should do it by a couple of thousand. [Therefore not accounting for a sudden drop or increase in sales from either side. I imagine it could be bigger if 5SOS continue to drop down though).

Any idea where Rik Mayall is?

Where is let it go and ultraviolence (single) please

#20

Ultraviolence not top 40

if don't stop follows the same sales pattern as she looks so perfect then

94.3k/65.4k = 1.44

56k*1.44 = 80.7k by sunday

however since don't stop is fading a hell of lot faster than slsp i suspect 5sos will struggle to pass the 75k mark this week

imo ella will hold onto the no1 if she can sell over 77k this week ~ which looks very achievable with tuesday sales of 27.2k

Not taking into account any inevitable tricks 5SOS's team will pull out of the bag this week to try and keep them ahead.

Oh dear at Lana's sales, coming from a million selling (or close) album that's not good at all. She needs a hit and promo appearances.

Seems like a bit of Jake Bugg thing here (when Shangri La underperformed a bit)
