Christ, Lana's gonna fall like a brick next week.

Hopefully Lana can manage over 50k. I know she hasn't made so much of an impression in the singles chart but I thought she'd have more support for the album. :(

so since Wednesday's update Ella's been selling an average of 9.8k per day and 5SOS an average of 4.35k per day. From this, I've calculated that 5SOS should finish with 78.2k and Ella with 77.6k, but because of 5SOS' frontloadedness, their average daily sales for Friday and Saturday will be a lot less, so Ella should be this week's #1 :D

Both acts got a gig somewhere today, I remember someone mentioning it in here earlier in the week, not sure what effect is going to do to the chart, but I be happy with Ella at #1.

 

Oh dear at Lana's sales, coming from a million selling (or close) album that's not good at all. She needs a hit and promo appearances.

 

Seems like a bit of Jake Bugg thing here (when Shangri La underperformed a bit)

 

a lot of those sales will be people buying the same album twice for the extra tracks, and a lot of the lost sales are people like me who bought Born To Die the week it came out and got pissed off at the deluxe version being released later on. Penalising your fan base for buying early is commercial suicide. I'll wait till the deluxe version comes out and it's down to £3.

Yeah, you're right. Re-releasing an album is a career killer - it's definitely hurt Lana more than the lack of a hit, the complete lack of promo and the change of sound.

i hope passenger is still top 10 in albums

I'm really concerned 5SOS are still number one but hoping Ella can scrape it by tomorrow but its going to be extremely close
