June 29, 201411 yr 'Whole Lotta History' has always clicked with me for some reason. It goes NOWHERE, but it's so gorgeous. Oh and can we just STOP with the 'My Heart Takes Over' shade and hate please! :drama:
June 29, 201411 yr Oh and can we just STOP with the 'My Heart Takes Over' shade and hate please! :drama: Yesss!! I think I ranked it in my top 5 Saturdays singles the other day so I don't want it turning up just yet. :drama:

Is it just me that doesn't remember half of these All Saints singles? A rapping Nadine Coyle fails to win over Buzzjack and 'Long Hot Summer' is out at 74, though it is the first song to average at least a 6. Just. Now is the time to point out that ties are separated by the number of 11s received. And if needed number of 10s and so on. Girls Aloud's 'Whole Lotta History' is the first to fall foul of the tie break rule as it just misses out on 72 by one 11 given to 'How Ya Doin'?' by AaronTM. Both wonderful songs and no hate for them thank you x. The Saturdays finally lose another single of theirs, this time it's the 2009 Comic Relief single 'Just Can't Get Enough'.

Being a Louis Walsh/ Simon Cowell pension fund does not a band make! On the plus side three of me -1s out in a row! However not ONEof those trashbags deserved higher than Holler/Let Love Lead the Way!!! :arrr:

Oh gosh, I had a bad feeling that All Saints would lose the majority of their discography so early on. VERY undeserved. :( Keeping everything crossed for Never Ever/Pure Shores/Black Coffee/Rock Steady appearing in the upper half at least. :/ Quite stunned to see 'Just Can't Get Enough' as high as #71... it probably should be down towards the bottom of the chart, alongside 'Word Up!' and 'Walk This Way'. The power of BJ's Saturdays fan base is coming into play here I guess. I don't think I'd be too surprised if one of their singles actually wins this whole thing actually! :o
June 29, 201411 yr Ooh. A pleasing batch there. Not a big fan of 'Bootie Call', it's pretty boring tbh. 'Long Hot Summer' is in it's rightful place, I'd imagine. It's alright, not their best, not their worst. 'Whole Lotta History' has always connected with me and I find it lovely. 'How Ya Doin'?' is great, but only in the Missy Elliott single remix form! The original is dull and 'Just Can't Get Enough' is one of those charity covers done, utterly and completely RIGHT. I have such a huge soft spot for it! It would have been nice for it to have finished higher than majority of their others that are still to come, but meh. What can you do.

June 29, 201411 yr Hmm. I thought 'How Ya Doin?' would do a lot better for some reason. If nothing else it deserves to be above 'Change Your Life'. They absolutely nailed it live. 'Whole Lotta History' is lovely. It was always going to exit quite early I guess, but it deserves to be above 'I'll Stand By You' and a lot of the Saturdays singles still left at least. I'd say it's probably the only time they nailed anything resembling a ballad. I think Brian Higgins said once that 'Long Hot Summer' was made in a rush, and you can tell. It just doesn't quite feel solid and complete enough, and obviously it ended up being one of the weakest tracks on 'Chemistry'. Saying that, Nadine's rap is a little amazing. 'Just Can't Get Enough' does deserve to be noticeably higher than the Walk This Way/Word Up covers, because I think it manages to work a little bit better, but it's definitely the weakest of those 5 songs. There needs to be a Saturdays clear out at this stage. '30 Days', 'My Heart Takes Over', 'Missing You' and 'If This Is Love' all need to go.
