You mean 2009 no? I Gotta Feeling and Meet Me Halfway both climbed to #1. As for their 2010 #1, The Time was held back and pre-album

Wasnt 'The Time' OA/OS, I remember a performance (X Factor?) propelling it to #1 after a number of weeks underperforming by their standards!

yeah you're right. I forgot about that. Either way it's still pre-album

Leah's doing well considering practically every radio station has snubbed her. Hopefully her TV airplay will increase to compensate and be enough to maybe go top 10!

43. Usher - Good Kisser (Disclosure Remix)

54. Demi Lovato - Really Don't Care (feat. Cher Lloyd)

67. Professor Green - Not Your Man (feat. Thabo)

David Guetta's doing quite well at #460 on pre-orders with still another month until release. Looks like 'Lovers On The Sun' will be a big hit for him, and it's higher than any of the other big releases out on the 11th August (i.e. Kiesza, The Saturdays, etc...).

Demi's doing well with this isn't she? It is immensely catchy, I hope it can do decently overall.

#910 Alien - Britney Spears :cheer:

In another time, this could make a fabulous hit single addition to her discography. I think this is one of my favourite ever Britney songs now!

The funny thing is that the great "Alien" is picking up notice for the wrong reasons, as certain online sites will tell you. ;)

Glad to see Melissa doing well, really am starting to love Kisses For Breakfast. :)

Also glad that Leah is still doing okay on pre-orders all things considered, I really do think if she had good airplay it could of at least gone top 10/5! Praying for top 20 now. Such a shame, deserves so much more.

every buzz is a good buzz. ^_^

Rude! is #40! Starting to really love this song, despite wanting the #1 for Cheryl, I think Magic! has it now. They will both sell really well, so I don't mind. Cheryl for the fastest selling #2 of the year?

Why do you think they've suddenly got it after they've been ahead for less than 1 week, compared to Cheryl being ahead for around 6 weeks? :P

Because Rude will almost certainly be a lot more popular on release week, regardless of her lead with pre-orders.

It could go either way. Nobody knows for sure. But most of the sales for both songs will come in the actual release week, and the pre-orders suggest that Rude will sell the most in the release week. Just depends if the gap is enough to overcome Cheryl's pre-orders. Also, Rude is obviously going to get streamed more given that the song is by a band, so that will help it a tiny bit too.

I haven't heard Rude in full yet, but I wouldn't mind Cheryl getting #1 as the song is quite nice (albeit Talk Dirty/Thrift Shop-esque) and it would be cool for Tinie to get another #1.
