Revised pre-order projections following the iTunes positions from the last couple of days are as follows:

Crazy Stupid Love

Total iTunes pre-orders estimate: 14,950

Rude

Total iTunes pre-orders estimate: 10,660

Using the calculations below, MAGIC! will be just under 1,000 pre-orders closer to Cheryl that the initial estimation earlier in the week! After writing off MAGIC!'s chances a few weeks ago, I'm starting to think they could do it again as a 4,000 pre-order gap isn't that much and the momentum is massively with 'Rude' now.

Rude will also have the slight advantage of streaming too as it's been available on Spotify for weeks already, I believe.

like problem, crazy stupid love is being massively overestimated on here, it's more than likely going to struggle to reach the 100k mark

magic! will storm to #1 on the biggest first week sales since rather be~

Rude at #24 now! This will be #1 next week and might stay there for at least 4 weeks.

Unlikely. It'll probably stay at #1 for two weeks then get replaced by Nico & Vinz (who will also get 2 weeks before David Guetta replaces them)

I havent even heard this Magic song, is it all hype no substance?

Yes!

As much as I don't like it, I would LOL if it prevented Cheryl.

I still don't think it's a foregone conclusion that Cheryl's gonna be #2  I remain optimistic. Yes, its chances of getting #1 are much smaller but it's by no means out of the question.

Then maybe Duke Dumont will replace David Guetta.

Edit: Just listening to the David Guetta song right now as I type and I have to say that i'll be astonished if something like this gets to #1. The UK has some weird preferences a lot of the time!

I really like it. It's a reggae fusion song and sounds like a great summer song. Much better than "Crazy Stupid Love".

Yes!

Why would it make you LOL?

I get that it would make you happy, but why LOL?

I just listened to it, it doesnt seem anything special?! But I often think that a lot about the really HUGE hits i.e Somebody That I Used To Know, We Are Young, Happy and some others from the top of my head.
I guess it's just different, we haven't had a cod-reggae hit here for a long time. I still don't have any strong opinion on it one way or the other. It does look more and more likely that it will beat Cheryl...

There is literally nothing backing up anything you've said in this post.

68. The Way I Are - Timbaland, D.O.E. & Keri Hilson

81. Killing Me Softly With His Song - Fugees

82. Too Close - Alex Clare

86. Dry Your Eyes - The Streets

95. Frontin' (feat. JAY Z) [Radio Mix/Club Mix] - Pharrell

Awesome to see these songs in the top 100 (and Turn Down For What too :D)!

I do think 'Crazy Stupid Love' had been overestimated. It really should have at least been top 40 on iTunes with it being released for Sunday. I'm sure it will pass 100,000 sales but I don't think it will pass 120,000 which I believed on the first week it would.

I do think 'Rude' could open with the biggest first week sales tbf as it's already #25 on iTunes and I'm sure that it will have a large amount of streaming next week as well as an increase in radio plays.

Songs being released on Sunday:

25. MAGIC! - Rude

45. Cheryl Cole Feat Tinie Tempah - Crazy Stupid Love

108. Charli XCX - Boom Clap

119. X Ambassadors & Jamie Commons Feat Jay Z - Jungle

153. MK Feat Alana - Always [Route 94 Radio Edit]

199. Neon Jungle - Louder

'Turn Down For What' seems to be back on iTunes again (the single version and all). Back at #52. I wonder why it kept being deleted in the last few weeks

Fairly big 59p update going on at the moment so it's time for a 59p update (feels like a while since I did one of these).

43. Demons - Imagine Dragons

68. The Way I Are - Timbaland, D.O.E. & Keri Hilson

86. Dry Your Eyes - The Streets

165. Always Look On the Bright Side of Life - Monty Python

Hope the top 3 can keep climbing! *.*

Keri getting re-exposure in time and ready for her comeback single (whenever she decides to bloody premiere it!!!) to smash all charts WW with an 'Umbrella' type chart run please! *.*

Am I Wrong and Kisses For Breakfast do the reggae/pop thing MUCH MUCH better I think.
So right! 'Kisses For Breakfast' in particular. 'Rude' is good. But a lot of the time it's just "there" and really not worth the hype. Let's hope either 'Problem' or 'Ghost' can get a massive NOW! effect on Monday and prevent both MAGIC! & Cheryl :kink:

Cheryl still has a pretty huge fanbase and I still expect them to come through in the first week and keep her well ahead of MAGIC!

(How is 'Am I Wrong' reggae? Unless it's suddenly a different song to the one that was in BJSC it's just a straight pop song )

rubbish ~ it's patently obvious just from the behaviour of the two pre-orders that magic! will outperform cheryl by some considerable distance and that's before we get to rude surging up the streaming rankings :drama:

delude yourself as much as you like - it won't change the outcome next week one iota~

"Rubbish" is you assuming I was referring to your opinion on the MAGIC!/Cheryl battle - let alone thinking I'd delude myself into thinking Cheryl will win (she won't).

I was referring to your sales predictions. Cheryl's pre-order has outperformed 'Problem' to my eyes and 'Rude' has come nowhere near even 'Hideaway' - what reason is there to believe that CSL won't break 100k and what backs up your claim about 'Rude' being the second highest first week of the year?
