WOW that 94-92 run of Video Games-Ms. Jackson-Only U is a highlight for me! All brilliant. You're right about Ms. Jackson being a classic but I'm even more partial to the later Outkast singles...Hey Ya, The Way You Move, Roses  I'd love to see any of those appear later but they're already represented in a big way so it's all good! :D And I enjoyed your Only U commentary in particular-- 'bold' is definitely the right word there!

Ooh hey Riser, glad to see you were enjoying that little run there! Haha I can tell you that one of those three is making an appearance soon :D Really great band, so jealous of people that saw them at Wireless! Glad to hear you enjoyed the commentary too, I'm surprised people even read my waffling  But yeah so bold and brilliant! Thank you so much for commenting! <3

RIGHT apologies, was very busy week this week! Continuing on to the top 90:

90. Dee-Lite - Groove Is In The Heart (1990)

What a BRILLIANT song! It's still a travesty that this was beaten to #1 despite having the exact same number of copies sold as 'The Joker'. Still, #2 is still not too shabby at all. Anyway, onto the song itself - I remember discovering it through the Just Dance game on the Wii (or maybe just being reminded of it? Still, this is where the love started) and dancing along to it was utterly euphoric! The track talks about new feelings of infatuation with a great song, so it's no wonder why it brings me so much joy - two incredible feelings right there! I love Lady Miss Kier (fab name btw)'s vocals on the track, they're so charming and funny throughout the verses but then suddenly in the chorus she tackles the elongated notes really well. Q-Tip was a genius feature too, still one of my favourite rappers out there even today. Such good 90's dance, the rather trippy video is amusing too, but ever-so 90's! Excellent stuff.

89. Robbie Williams - Rock DJ (2000)

When Robbie was good, he was GREAT for me. I grew up listening to so much of his music, as both my parents were/are huge Take That fans, and of his solo stuff too, even going to three concerts of his (I got to see Take That in Wembley too - insane experience!) so it's no surprise that a few tracks of his have made this list. I have nothing but great associations with this, it was always a party favourite when I was younger. The track has no deep meaning or anything at all it seems on the surface, with promiscuous bits here and there, but nothing more than that, really. I think that's why it appeals to me - because it's just so much fun, a song to really let your hair down to. Even though Robbie apparently admits he's not really that fond of this song nowadays, I think he sounds like he's having a blast on it, and this amusing delivery makes it all the more appealing. PLUS, I love the pulsating production that drives it along! I can take or leave THAT video, though.

88. Timbaland Presents OneRepublic - Apologise (2007)

Ooh THE producer of the year in '07 Timbaland here. Who'd have thought OneRepublic would be the more relevant act in 2014?! Anyway, onto the song. OneRepublic came out of nowhere, with both this and 'Stop and Stare'. I MUCH prefer this to SAS, as that tends to go over my head a bit, and is a little bland for me. This however is a bold slow one, but with a bit of life breathed into it. Firstly, I love how it open and closes with the same two lines, so it's like a proper story song - he introduces it, explains the situation where he likes her but doesn't deserve all the bad stuff she does, and then it concludes with the 'rope' metaphor again. Great songwriting for me, and the standard Timbaland production is brought to the table, very similar to that of 'Say It Right'. Not a bad thing at all though, understated production for an understated song, this definitely had the formula of a song that was to be intensely overplayed. I still enjoy it even to this day though, it has definitely stood the test of time personally!

87. Puretone - Addicted to Bass (2002)

I shouldn't like this as much as I do... but it's SO infectious! It seems like there are a lot of these kinda tracks here. Anyway, ooh where do I even start... I just adore how chaotic the quickfire delivery is, how gorgeous the vocals are, the excellent drum & bass production and the CHORUS. Her voice turns so sweet and well, what the song is all about - the bass - sounds pretty darn good in this one. It seems a little outdated, but who cares. Such a treat to the ears still every time I hear it, so feel-good and just generally all kinds of wonderful. Shame it didn't quite get to number one!

86. Stereophonics - Dakota (2005)

Oh my gosh yessss. This track brings out all kinds of emotions in me. It's absolutely haunting throughout - both the guitar driven production that really touches, as well as the lyrics and passionate vocals. In the chorus and the uncertain "I don't know where we're going now" part it remains quite sad with his continued passionate delivery, but at the same time the chorus is actually quite rousing and anthemic - it's quite unique for a song to be able to draw quite so many different emotions out of me. It always makes me think back to certain times, and is quite the track to accompany me on the treadmill! Absolutely brilliant number one.

85. The Prodigy - Out of Space (1992)

Ahh another musical act that I grew up with due to my parents being absolutely huge on most 90's dance! But yeah 'Out of Space' is a particular favourite from their discography. I've played it god knows how many times, but I still get that thrilling sensation every time! It's like three different songs in one - what with the SUPER 90's opening production, the quickfire high pitched part and the insanely amazing slower part. This is no bad thing whatsoever though - how different it is makes me love it so much. The production really does feel like it's "taking your brain to another dimension" and when it slows down it feels like a truly EPIC moment. The epitome of fantastic dance music.

84. Britney Spears - Everytime (2004)

Britney's most gorgeous track to date for me, all the more impressive that she wrote it herself of course. She bares her soul with her breathy vocals and heartfelt pleading lyrics. The song sums itself up in just one lyric - "You're haunting me", because this is exactly what the track does to me. Just spine-tingling, her delivery is so beautiful as we see a more vulnerable side of Britney opposed to the sensual diva that the tabloids loved to expose for just that. The piano production makes this all the more wonderful, a great piano is always touching for me, so with all these factors she really did bring it with this one.

83. The Beatles - Revolution (1968)

This track is from the acclaimed 'The White album' and also has a couple of other versions - 'Revolution 9' in particular being one of the most CREEPY songs I've heard in my life, it's so simple with the repetition yet so scary - never listen to it in the middle of the night like I did if you're easily scared! 'Revolution Take 20' is also fantastic and John sounds amazing on it - very manic in places though! Of course Yoko has to bring her avant garde too at the end. THIS 'Revolution' that we all know and (hopefully) love is the best for me though - it opens with an utterly chaotic and loud guitar sound which lets you know you're about to listen to a huge song with an equally huge message. It was inspired by political protests of early that year and is probably their most political song, they hadn't really delved that much into the subject prior, only merely touching on that kind of stuff on 'Taxman'. I think it's just the right tempo though compared to the other two versions, and I find the lyrics interesting - even the chorus that's so brief but ultimately effective.

82. Nadia Ali - Rapture (Avicii Remix) (2012)

Well, it's the original by iiO that everybody knows, but I actually prefer this version! I'm still sad that it only just limped into the chart at #40. Anyway, this version really made me take notice - fantastic (if slightly autotuned - but who wasn't in 2k12?) vocals from Nadia that I find are more demanding and gripping than those of the original. Avicii does WONDERS too on production duties - he absolutely elevates this and makes it sound quite magical. So much more interesting and bold than the original (which I do like of course) which makes it a winner for me. Gorgeous lady Nadia is too!

81. Busted - Sleeping With the Light On (2003)

The lack of decent quality Busted music videos on YouTube is tragic. ANYWAY, this is the second and final appearance from the band in my countdown. Their debut album is one of my favourite albums of all time, and this is the best track on it for me! I adore the understated guitar driven production where you can already tell it's going to be heartfelt, and of course the rather gorgeous vocals which you don't usually expect from a Busted track. I love their sound, and their take on being afraid of being alone when you feel someone slipping away is rather brilliant. Definitely one of my biggest guilty pleasures in music, wonderful!

90. Dee-Lite - Groove Is In The Heart (1990) one of the most annoying songs I've ever heard haha :P

89. Robbie Williams - Rock DJ (2000) classic Robbie. Back when he was firmly in his prime too ;)

88. Timbaland Presents OneRepublic - Apologise (2007) Supreme track. Radio play did kinda kill it for me after a while but fortunately it has aged well and I barely hear it nowadays!

87. Puretone - Addicted to Bass (2002) OMG this is such a TUNE! I have it on my HIT compliation upstairs. Did it get to #1 I can't remember haha.

86. Stereophonics - Dakota (2005) What is it with songs popping up that I've played on guitar recently lmao. Not my fave by them but still a good enough song ^_^

85. The Prodigy - Out of Space (1992) I love some prodigy but I don't think I've heard this one :o

84. Britney Spears - Everytime (2004) in my top 235, top 5 countdown last year :P Britney at her peak with this. Stunning, heartfelt, beautiful, sad, everything that makes up a wonderful song imo :D

81. Busted - Sleeping With the Light On (2003) Their best track for me behind You Said No, Crashed The Wedding & What I Go To School For  It would appear that we agree on lots of things here Jade:D

Amazing! ^_^

Hiya! Fair enough on the annoying comment, there are some classics that I find annoying - e.g. 'Ride on Time' :P YES classic Robbie! He has some absolute gems in his discography! Oh same regarding 'Apologise' it was literally UNESCAPABLE in 2007 but luckily with all that dying down it's perfectly okay to listen to now! Haha glad to see a fellow 'Addicted to Bass' fan! Nope I remember that it got to #2, but can't remember what beat it to number 1 *Googles it* OH it was beaten by the posthumous but incredible 'More Than a Woman' by Aaliyah, I can live with that one. Haha ooh i didn't know you could play guitar, that's awesome! Haha fair enough they have a lot of good songs anyway. You haven't heard Out of Space?! :o YouTube it noooow! You'll probably recognise it. Ooh YAY for the shared love for 'Everytime' absolutely stunning! I think there's still one more Britney song to come if I can remember correctly, but runner up in this countdown is no bad thing at all. Oh yay! I'm not too big on CTW or WIGTSF but a bit YES for 'You Said No'! Yay for Busted  It seems we do :o Thanks for your kind words!

Yasssss Stereophonics *.* Dakota features in my own list, as do a few other Phonics tunes <3

Everytime  it really is one of her best songs, it proves that she isn't some talentless robot like people believe she is! I love Rapture as well, I probably prefer the original but the 2011 version is great too!

Yes definitely, 'Everytime' is certainly so gorgeous! Even though the robot does come out at times, you're totally right - this in particular and quite a few moments on Britney Jean too  Oh okay fair enough I think most people do  (The chart positions would definitely reflect that) Glad you're a fan though, the song itself whatever version is brilliant. Thank you for commenting <3

Everytime and Dear Darlin' are both really good! I'm not a massive fan of either artist but these songs are great!

Ooh fair enough, 'Everytime' is my 2nd favourite Britney song and 'Dear Darlin' my favourite Olly song, so nice choices there. ;)

Yep been playing for a few years now haha. Vocals is my main instrument but I have been doing more of the guitar recently. :P

I've heard Out of Space now "Bangs head" yes I did recognize it. Just having a dumb moment

Didn't even know the difference between the singer on "Ride on Time" and the one in the video until a few years ago. Oops, quite an easy mistake to make I also thought the same about Rather Be at first :P

Oh wow that's amazing! I always wanted to play the guitar after the influence of my dad being so good at it, but I could never get my head around it! I then started getting somewhere learning the keyboard and stupidly stopped!! Definitely want to re-try that again. What do you reckon is the trickiest song you can play on the guitar?

Haha I thought you'd recognise it! Especially being a Prodigy fan :P I guess it's just not one of the obvious songs that spring to mind like 'Firestarter'.

Oh my gosh same! It's annoying when that happens haha. Like with 'Coming Home' by Diddy Dirty Money ft. Skylar Grey I presumed the girl in the video was Skylar, and I was shocked to find out it wasn't her at all and that she was also white!

Really like rock DJ

Apologise and Dakota are amazing songs

Yay it's one of Robbie's best  & tell me about it, so so good.

Thank you for commenting

Trickiest song that I've played on guitar so far would have to be Space Oddity by David Bowie. So many changes in the chords that it's hard to keep up with lol. Took me weeks with my guitar tutor and on my own to perfect really :P

I haven't really watched much of that video to Coming Home tbh so wouldn't be able to elaborate with you I'm afraid :(

Looking forward to the next portion of songs. Hope something awesome shows up like usual ^_^
