Jumping on the bandwagon. 125 Singles, 1 winner. I AM SURE YOU ARE ALL DYING TO SEE THE RESULTS. Here we go;

125 // Nelly Furtado - Say It Right (2007)

you dont mean nothing at all to me...

124 // Fergie (ft. Ludacris) - Glamorous (2007)

If you dont got no money, take your broke ass home!

123 // Toni Braxton - Unbreak My Heart (1996)

Bring back the nights where you were beside me ...

122 // Usher - Climax (2012)

Going nowhere fast ...

121 // Alicia Keys - Brand New Me (2013)

You look surprised, your words dont burn me anymore ...

Kicking us off we have one of Nellys best singles, Say It Right which has such sublime production and her vocals are on POINT. To this day I still dont really know what the song is actually about but sometimes you never do. Another song from 2007, Glamorous by Fergie Ferg is at #124 - I have such good memories of this song and it always puts me in a good mood. I prefer nearly ALL of her solo stuff compared to BEPs, she should go back solo. At #123 we go a bit further back to 1996 with the emotional power ballad, Un-break My Heart by Toni Braxton. I always adored the song, I think the Burkes version really got me into it though, the build up to that final chorus is amazing. At #122 we have the first of two songs by Usher to feature. So criminally underrated and his best single in recent times imo, such a shame it pretty much got overlooked. The production and his vocals are just sublime. At #121 we have one of the most underrated songs of recent years I think, Brand New Me by Alicia Keys. Such an empowering and emotional song, I have a strong personal connection to it as well which helps - I dont understand how it completely bombed :( .

Looking forward to this

'Unbreak My Heart' is incredible, 'Glamorous' is such a fun track and 'Say It Right' was such a jam in 2007

Off to a great start so far! :D

Brand New Me is GORGEOUS  Was a two-week wonder in the low top 40 of my weekly chart but did much better in the year-end chart, have NO idea how it wasn't huge in either my own chart or any other chart :(

120 // Aly & AJ - Potential Breakup Song (2007)

You're not living, til you're living with me

119 // Charlotte Church - Moodswings (To Come At Me Like That) (2006)

118 // Busted - Who's David? (2004)

You can't hurt me now, I'm over you

117 // Shontelle - T-Shirt (2008)

116 // Javine - Real Things (2003)

You could be the hottest, you could be the finest

A nice selection from the noughties here. At #120 is Potential Breakup Song, an amazing pop song and should have been huge but iirc it did well for having v little airplay at the time. A really solid pop song and I always go back to it every so often. At #119 is everyones favourite Welsh bitch, Charlotte Church with Moodswings a song I was OBSESSED with at the age of around 14 or so, such a strong pop song with relatable lyrics ... was released far too late into her campaign though to do much I think. At #118 is a slightly surprising entry from Busted, but Whos David is a surprisingly touching and relatable song from the guys ... wish they released more songs like it. At #117 is T-Shirt by Shontelle, was obsessed with it at the time and still go back to it a lot. Such a great chilled R&B song that we dont see nearly enough of anymore. At #116 we have QUEEN JAVINE with Real Things, a genuinely great R&B song that I still think sounds surprisingly fresh to this day.

Oooh 'Glamourous' & 'Potential Break-Up Song' The former is one of my summer '07 faves, Fergie needs more solo material pronto! 'Potential Break-Up Song' remains all kinds of wonderful, although why on earth did they change their name to 78Violet??

Brilliant start so far!

Climax is definitely Usher's best  Potential Break-Up Song is amazing too, there a few songs here that are in my countdown too!

115 // Little Mix - Move (2013)

Get your back off the wall, don't you get comfortable

114 // Misha B - Do You Think Of Me? (2012)

I leave a light on in case you come back

113 // Usher - Yeah! (2004)

Take that, rewind it back

112 // Girls Aloud - The Show (2004)

Shoulda known, shoulda cared, shoulda hung around the iamspamspamamiin my underwear

111 // Jessie J - Who You Are (2011)

It's okay not to be okay

At #115 we have Little Mix with Move, the sort of music they should have been doing from the start! As much as I love Wings & DNA this sort of sound suits them so so much more. The production is amazing and I love how much of a grower it is. Their vocals go together amazingly well too. At #114 we have another former X Factor star, Misha B with her touching ballad Do You Think Of Me, which surprised me as to how good it really was as I was not massive on her on the actual show. At #113 we have another entry from Usher with the crunktastic Yeah, a song that you just simply HAVE to dance to. At #112 we have the first entry from Girls Aloud with The Show, the song that made me really fall in love with them, it is pop perfection and I loved the video at the time too. Finally at #111 we have Jessie J with Who You Are... som may say it is screechy, some may say it is over-sentimental rubbish but I think it is so so beautiful. The emotion in it sounds so raw and the song is so relatable as well, Jessie J may be a annoying c**t but this song is a gem in her back catalogue imo.

The show is a fantastic song, got really back into it again recently

Love who you are which is a beautiful song

Move is so amazing and it is one of my favourite songs at the moment

Great section

'Move', 'Yeah!' and 'The Show' are all excellent choices! 'Yeah!' in particular is such a modern hip hop classic! The production is amazing and pretty much makes the song!
'Who You Are' I suppose it's understandable why some most hate it, but the message is very powerful!
Misha B! :cheer: Also YES at "Glamorous", "T Shirt" and "Who You Are".

I have to echo Who You Are love, her voice in it actually makes it even more powerful and emotive for me.

Also big yes for Move, it probably doesn't quite best DNA but it's amazing nonetheless. I find The Show hugely overrated though, one of their worst singles :(

Oh and yes for Misha B! Such a stunning song, and a style that was quite unexpected from her actually!

110 // N-Trance - Set You Free (1994)

Oh a little love, can set you free

109 // Little Boots - Remedy (2009)

No more poison killing my emotion

108 // DJ Sammy - Heaven (2002)

Baby you're all that I want

107 // Girls Aloud - Call The Shots (2007)

It really doesn't phase me how you spend your time

106 // TLC - Unpretty (1999)

Who are you to be in the position to make me feel so damn unpretty?

At #110 we have euphoric dance classic, Set You Free by N-Trance. That chorus is SO feel good and I always go crazy if I do hear it out, which unfortunately is a rare occurence but when it does happen, it is amazing. Much like the song at #108, DJ Sammys Heaven which I LOVED at the time but I have appreciated more over time, such a good uplifting dance song. At #109 we have Little "where is she now?" Boots with Remedy, a song with such strong production and a great melody too. I am glad that she at least had one hit and it was with her best song by a long shot. At #107 we have Girls Alouds best song to date, the subtle but infectious Call The Shots which also sported some great lyrics and Nicolas best vocals to date. At #106 we have iconic R&B girlgroup with their first of FOUR entries, this time with the relatable Unpretty which shows great melodies from the girls, a great message and sounds fresh to this day! We need more R&B like them.

I adore 'Remedy', 'Heaven' & 'Call the Shots' *.*

Little Boots needs a comeback! 'Heaven' is just gorgeous & 'CTS' is one of Girls Aloud's best!

Heaven  My favourite song when I was younger and I still love it

And Remedy  :cheer:  When I start my countdown next week, I'll give a little hint that it has real potential to be top 5. I think it's my 2nd most played song on my iPod and I have always been in love with it so much

If only I had another chance tonight

103 // Roll Deep - Good Times (2010)

I'm gonna leave the day behind ...

102 // Strike - U Sure Do (1994)

You sure make me feel like loving you

101 // The Saturdays - What About Us (2013)

Whatever the weather, we gon be better together

At #105 is Marina & The Diamonds with Primadonna, which imo is pop perfection and sounds like a classic in my eyes, she is way too underrated with the general public. At #104 is one of the most stunning dance songs I have ever heard, the video is so so cute as well and one of my faves - the current dance trend wish they were even half as good. At #103 is Roll Deep with Good Times, such a fun and uplifting party song! At #102 is another 90s dance song, in the form of U Sure Do which is like my childhood personified. SO uplifting and fun. Finally, at #101 is The Saturdays with What About Us, one of their best to date imo and fully deserving of that #01 as well.
