The running order really does not matter at this stage of the competition with only 4 left .People pretty much have their favourites at this point and know who they are going to vote for regardless. Plus they are singing 2 songs each.

 

I think there is still lots to play for, Andrea had a nice week last week in terms of performing last in the pimp slot and a modern song choice and he went from Bottom 2 to above at least SK and Lauren and who knows how much higher.

 

I can already see the 'Fleur is so current and commercial she is doing a song that isn't even out yet' comment from Simon.

Fleur's 'Uptown Funk' iTunes pre-order hasn't been sorted out yet whereas all of the other have - are they having trouble being allowed to release it considering the real version isn't available? Has she had a late song change? I hope not!

I really hope they don't change the song due to problems with being allowed to release it :(

Surely that can't be the reason? They MUST have known this if they chose such a song. It would be totally naive of them to not look into it until this late into the week.

Annoyingly the previews I'm actually looking forward to (both of Fleur's and Lauren's Story Of My Life) are not up.

 

I was actually thinking Ben sounded ok on Hallelujah, but then he got to the "maybe I've been hear before" part and started sounding shouty, which will probably be a bit forced and strained live. I think Andrea needs to hold back a bit on Wrecking Ball too :(

Tbh most of the song choices are woeful, Ben and Andrea's worst habit is getting a bit shouty and Both Ben's and Wrecking ball will make them do this (Chandelier was great for Andrea as it was mainly falsetto). Lauren's are bland and that is the main criticism of her and Fleur has a song by one of the greatest voices we have ever had in its day and what is the main criticism of Fleur, yep her voice not being good enough.

 

It is why we have had so few stand out performances this year as the song choices just don't help most of them.

Fleur is singing a J-Lo song in the final apparently :wub:

 

Get Right could be absolutely perfect, similarly to Uptown Funk she could really put on a show with it.

It'll be 'On The Floor' or 'Love Don't Cost A Thing' I think. I really hope not though. 'Get Right' would suit her brilliantly, but I'm not sure if it'll work out for her. :( Unless she has someone huge to challenge Ed & Sam (I know they're not confirmed to duet, but I think it's highly likely it'll be these two that duet with the other contestants, so just using speculation for now) I still think she's not going to beat Ben for some reason. Although her performance has been a massive talking point for a day or two longer than I thought it would be amongst the casual public, so who knows.

 

'Get Right' could quite as easily be her Amelia Lily - Ain't No Other Man' moment (a song that should work on paper, but doesn't) as well as the opposite. I dunno, she's exceeded everyone's expectations every week though so...

Never mind, the person on DS apparently makes up loads of crap all the time :lol: He said that Brian Friedman was on Good Morning Britain and said that about Fleur but apparently he actually wasn't, I wouldn't know as I never watch it!

Ed Sheeran is singing 'Photograph', Sam Smith is singing 'Stay With Me' with a 200-strong choir and Meghan is performing 'All About That Bass'. Olly and Demi are obviously singing 'Up'.

 

Basically, only one is actually promoting a new single :mansoncheer:

The only thing I'd want Sam Smifh to sing is a cover of 4'33 tbf :drama:

 

They MUST have some big duets line-up, otherwise.. Eek.

I'm still not giving up on the hope of a surprise appearance from MADGE.

 

Surely Fleur is going to be getting someone like Jessie J/Nicki Minaj/Ariana on to do Bang Bang again, I can't believe they would do Uptown Funk again and them giving her Megan/All About That Bass would seem like to go totally against the push they've clearly given her recently.

'PHOTOGRAPH'???? OH MY. Really hope it gives him a big boost into the top 20! It's my favorite track from the album (by a considerable distance) so I'm very excited.

 

Not here for SWM though. Bleh. I guess he already did 'Like I Can' this year so it makes sense I guess.

Meghan should be performing 'Lips are Movin' :( I hope she does a melody of both songs.

I'd personally have picked Highway To Hell or Jealous Guy for Ben but the other two are their best performances imo (except maybe Somebody To Love for Andrea). Fleur will probably get stick for doing Uptown Funk again, but James did Let's Get It On two weeks after his first performance of it and it was her best (although she had a lot to choose from imo as she's been very consistent), it defined the series for me.

'Uptown Funk' was a definite "Highlight Of the Series". People would have complained if she hadn't done it! She's gotta be careful though, her performance of it could send sales sky high for Bruno's song again and deny her of the Christmas number 1 :kink:

 

Intrigued to hear what the winner's song/singles will be this year!

Uptown funk again is risky.

 

Andrea's 2 best were Earth song and Chandelier, but given how recently Chandelier was Earth song the better pick as it will remind people why they liked Andrea early on.

 

Ben's should be High way to hell, the one song that really suited him.

Don't know if the Daily Mirror is reliable but they say here in an article published in the last hour that the winner's singles are:

Ben - Something I Need (OneRepublic)

Fleur - Something I Need (OneRepublic)

 

Not sure why Ben and Fleur have the same song, but that song is amazing and one of my favourite OneRepublic songs - it should've been a single here like it was in other places.
