almost mistook that woman in Tyler's GIF for Cheek to Cheek era Gaga. :(

 

'Telephone' was as basic AF by Gaga standards tho still an 8/10 moment, 'Alejandro' was far more memorable. As much as I love and prefer 'Dance in the Dark', 'Alejandro' was the better single choice. TFM era was flawless actually. DITD was just caught up in an album that was too strong for its own good, 'Monster' and 'Speechless' also say hi as singles that never were.

I do hope people aren't voting for 'Alejandro' because of the video (and alternatively keeping 'Telephone' in FOR the video). 'Alejandro' is so smooth and lush, while 'Telephone' is just clunky and dare i say... basic. *hides* I am saddened it's here over MTN and TEOG (but i'll stop going on about those (for now)).

'Alejandro'. Always disliked it, never got the fuss with it, video or no video. ('Dance In The Dark'/'Monster' should have been the next single, not this).

 

'Telephone' is indeed "basic", but it doesn't pretend it's anything but, so it really works. It's not "great"/shouldnt have made it this far, but out of the options left, it's behind 'Alejandro' for me.

If basic means a great popstar, with great and catchy bops and not some pretentious hoe, releasing terrible music as form of so called "art" and doing the most to shock the world/get everyone against her, then YES
