What controversy - this is the sweet Taylor Swift we're talking about, right?

Some rapper isn't happy she has black girls twerking in the video (although he admits he hasn't watched it), claiming she is using black stereotypes to sell records. It is Lily Allen 'Hard Out Here' all over again.

Oh well, she's already proclaimed that she doesn't like equal rights for women (feminism), why would she care about race? :P

Just to let you guys know, the regular kworb.net is up and runninf again :D

Already climbed 200+ places since yesterday. Hopefully the video release sends it back into the top 200.

lol that's just sad. some people really don't have anything better to do than to criticize music videos they haven't even seen

What? Do people seriously like this Taylor Swift dross? :o How come such a vile song got to number 1 so quickly? As much as I don't like David Guetta, I just pray he stays well ahead of her until the end of the week and then Lilly Wood & The Prick will be my only hope!

It's a fun, catchy song. The Guetta song is mindless EDM/Country-by-numbers.

 Please bring up actual evidence for stuff like that before you go about throwing such serious insults at people.

I thought it was well known that she doesn't call herself a feminist, same with Katy Perry?

(I don't, in any way believe she's racist by the way)

Not calling herself a feminist =/= not *liking* the idea of women having equal rights to men (and certainly doesn't justify "well she may as well be racist" jokes). Uninformed or distanced from the "cause" she may be but your wording was very loaded and totally inaccurate. Not to mention the article you've quoted is one I've read before and it is the definition of biased.

This.

This is, easily, the worst thing she's ever released. It's hard to think that this is the same artist who released material such as 'Love Story' and 'You Belong To Me'. While they weren't great, they at least stood out from most music in the charts at that time and her songs seem to have a lot of depth to then. This, on the other hand, could have been released by most female artists of the moment. :puke2:

I'm hoping David Guetta hangs on, and that 'Prayer In C' is safe for next week.

I was being sarcastic, I love Taylor (I've been to see her 3 times :heehee: )

I am very slightly concerned that she wouldn't 'call' herself a feminist, but all in all I know she's actually a confident, positive role model. I was more pointing out of much media over-reacts with such things, because I remember there being such a back-lash when she made that comment a couple years ago. I was similarly annoyed when Lily Allen got accused of the same thing.

Isn't Taylor Swift a Republican though? Not all Republicans are against equal rights, but a lot of them are (whether it's for women, gay people, muslims, ethnic minorities, etc.).

Personally, I think the song is okay, certainly better than David Guetta's, and I would love for it to somehow beat it to #1! But it must be hard for her fans for her to release songs like this and never release a country song as a mainstream single.

Sam Smith is so close to top 10! :o :D

She is definitely for gay rights, I know that. Afaik she decides to not discuss which political party she is but I'm sure I've read she's happy with Obama, who is Democratic ofc.

Yay! And nice surprise to see Duke Dumont is getting played on US radio! :o

Yeah, she might be Democrat if she likes Obama then. I think most people just assume she's Republican since most country singers are.
