And I love the fact we have a Christmas album just outside the Top 20 in August

It's more of an album about winter rather than Christmas, I've not heard the album but I don't think it has any specific Christmas themes. Still, a winter album doing well in summer is pretty odd all the same though! :P

Not that pretty odd when Idina is still around

It could still pass 80K, its sales actually increased day-on-day yesterday and Saturday is usually a big sale and streaming day. Not great by any means of course, I was expecting 100K given the hype.

Yeah 80k was the lowest I expected and I thought it'd clear that easier than it might

Yes at Iggy Azalea and Sam Smith now both T10 with their new singles, here's hoping they can spend a good few weeks in there. A big fan of Ed Sheeran's "Don't" too, though with streaming I'm sure there's no need to worry about that dropping quick.

Similar gap all week between David Guetta and Taylor Swift, I reckon she'll get stuck at #4 again and overtake Guetta next week.

Royal Blood on 51k, wahoo. Is it too much to ask for 60k+? Decent week for albums actually, even Sam Smith at #5 has managed to perk up a bit.

It would be just wonderful if Kate Bush holds all those top 40 positions and ideally music week will provide some information on total sales of her albums this coming week.

Hope so. The Whole Story is her best-seller by far, almost 1.2m. and think Hounds Of Love is next.

I think the No1s will struggle now - it been coming for a long time! Or maybe if something huge was released it would sell like Get Lucky? Maybe this summers music just isn't up there with last yr and it's nothing to do with the obv reasons for declining sales?
Prayer in C will probably have a great longevity so it's not like it's one of those come-and-go-#1's. I predict it will sell 600k before the end of year.
