Personally there are 4 in the top 10 I've never heard:

Calvin Harris - Blame

The Script - Superheroes

Fall Out Boy - Centuries

George Ezra - Blame It On Me

I've not heard George Ezra's Budapest either (at this point I think I'll never ever hear it), so it wouldn't surprise me if I never hear Blame It On Me too. The only one of these I'm confident I'll get to know is Calvin Harris's song since I know all his other singles.

I've not actually heard the Fall Out Boy and George Ezra ones, as I have not much to do today I shall rectify this. Can't not be having my finger on the pulse!

that's great stability for G.R.L! Thought it was going to fall quickly again after the initial boost from Simone's death, but it's good to see this being a proper hit for them. Also top 40 on spotify now.
God, there's nothing like looking at the iTunes chart to make you feel old. I've only heard two of the songs in the top 10, being Taylor Swift's (how is this doing so well?!? ) and Sam Smith's.

Me too  for me those are Taylor's ear rape and Iggy <3

I could hum Taylor's track to you. I know I've heard Superheroes and Prayer In C but I can't remember them at all.

OK, I feel slightly younger now then, because even I've heard 'Budapest' :P

I thought I was out of loop with the UK charts, but I've heard 8/10 so I guess it's not as bad as I thought

I actually meant 'Blame It On Me'.

Since writing that post I took the time out to check them out. George Ezra's track I can take or leave but the video is really cool and he is SO gorgeous.

That Fall Out Boy track is incessant whining, but an interesting sample.

I have heard all of the top 10 bar Fall Out Boy, I'd rather unhear Walking With Elephants, Won't Look Back and Blame though.
Oh for once I know all of the top 10 before the chart show  And all of the top 20 bar Kid Ink.
I really can't imagine how 'I'm Not The Only One' featuring A$AP Rocky even works. Whose idea was this? EDIT: Just listened to it and the Rocky part is very tacked on and doesn't work at all, as I expected. Bizarre!

It was never going to work but it's a brilliant marketing decision on both of their parts - Sam may get recognition from Hip-Hop fans while A$AP continues to showcase his pro-gay stance (there are rappers out there who wouldn't dare to feature on a Frank Ocean track let alone a gay pop artist's track so it'd definitely get A$AP some good publicity).

I think it sounds fine musically, as soul music is good for rapping on, but it would have been nice for them to re-do the instrumental a bit.

For me out of the current iTunes top 10 (7:30 PM 13/09/2014):

Songs I've never heard in full

MAGIC! - Rude

Sam Smith - I'm Not The Only One

George Ezra - Blame It On Me

Songs I had to force myself to listen to in it's entirety the first time around

Iggy Azelea ft Rita Ora - Black Widdow

Taylor Swift - Shake It Off

^

With those 2 songs it was only once I saw it in the iTunes top 10 that I listened to it and ordinarily I would have switched over to something else but I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

'Crazy stupid love' to get that X Factor boost again after that mesmerizing performance ! :kink:
I've only yet to hear Blame in the top 10 and I'll be hearing that on the chart tomorrow. Benefit of listening to the chart show every week is that you're up to date with the hits :kink:
Not heard the Calvin Harris song yet, these days I presume most of the music in the charts is just dance so don't bother to listen, for that reason it was awhile before I heard GRL's Ugly Heart, a song which I love

 2. Taylor Swift - Shake It Off

Incredible longevity, its such a shame its not quite going to get that #1 peak but it will surely become another very good seller for Taylor!

7. George Ezra - Blame It on Me

34. Sam Smith - I'm Not the Only One (feat. A$AP Rocky)

68. Alesso - Tear the Roof Up (Extended Version)

I don't think this song's target audience are going to be working out to it...

X-Factor effect (top 100)

 14. Stay With Me - Sam Smith

 21. Ghost - Ella Henderson

 24. Crazy Stupid Love (feat. Tinie Tempah) - Cheryl Cole

 27. Happy (From "Despicable Me 2") - Pharrell Williams

 38. I Can't Make You Love Me (Live) - Adele

 40. The World's Greatest (Radio Edit) - R. Kelly

 55. Let's Get It On (Single Version) - Marvin Gaye
