Posted September 8, 201410 yr How I compile my charts: With a few exceptions, I don't go out of my way to seek out new songs - I usually wait until I hear them on the radio. I mainly listen to Radio 1 and for this reason, most (though not all) songs in my chart are those which are played on Radio 1. I don't usually add a song to my chart until it's started gaining some airplay. Songs generally tend to climb gradually as they grow on me, peak and then fall fast, so the chart looks similar to an 80's/90's singles chart. I also usually get bored of a song within a few weeks, so songs don't generally tend to hang around the chart for more than a few weeks - typically around 9 or 10 weeks for a Number 1. This week's chart commentary: * No change to the Top 3 this week but more impressively the Top 2 remains the same for the fourth week running, Maroon 5 continuing to deny G.R.L. (RIP Simone Battle) that coveted #1 spot. * Every one of Bastille's six previous singles has been Top 4 on this chart, and 'Oblivion' now extends that run to 7 consecutive Top 4 singles by climbing to #4 (which incidentally is also their most popular peak, as achieved by 3 of those previous 6 singles). * One of the most successful artists of recent years on this chart, Professor Green saw his five singles all reach #1 here, with the following three peaking in the Top 5. September 9, 201410 yr Hi :D Nice to see 'Take Me to Church' in your chart! Should start climbing up mine; it's just a shame it's not looking good on it entering the official Top 40. Both Neon Jungle and Kiesza have recorded covers of this if you're interested; both pretty good and both have acts have better live vocals than I expected! 'Pushing On' is very catchy, but I'm not too sure it's quite strong enough for me to chart it.

What do you think of it? 2 - yeah it was awful about Simone :( anyway I'm glad you're loving the track. 5 - what's that supposed to mean? :P i love a bit of Pro Green!! 23 - I hated it when I first heard it but I've grown to quite like it now :) 26 - I'm really enjoying it atm but it's one of those songs that I think might start to annoy me eventually :lol: 29 - yeah it's a great song, a little different to what's out there. 1. Are their other albums better then. I own It Won't Be Long... and that's a great album. I wasn't having high hopes for this going by Maps but it's quite a strong album I think. Some great tracks and many growers like Feelings & My Heart Is Open. 5. I don't like Pro Green ;)

September 12, 201410 yr Author Hi :D Nice to see 'Take Me to Church' in your chart! Should start climbing up mine; it's just a shame it's not looking good on it entering the official Top 40. Both Neon Jungle and Kiesza have recorded covers of this if you're interested; both pretty good and both have acts have better live vocals than I expected! 'Pushing On' is very catchy, but I'm not too sure it's quite strong enough for me to chart it. Yeah, 'Take Me To Church' is actually a really good song, I think it's grown on my from the advert I keep hearing it on. Given enough of a push I think it could enter the Top 40.
